I took my husband here for his birthday. We were slightly leery of a B&B but decided to go for it. I booked the barn suite and our experience was over the top.
The moment we arrived we were greeted by the owner Sheryl and her gracious smile. She gave us a tour of the grounds and showed us to our suite. IMMACULATE and not a detail was overlooked. She gave us a list of suggestions for activities and food in the area and they were all spot on.
The breakfast was unbelievable; recipes were wanted.
The best thing about finding this gem is that we feel like we have found a friend and we will surely go back.
Thank you again Sheryl...an amazing place you have.

Room Tip: We stayed in the barn suite and loved everything about it.

Sue & Pat... Such a privilege to have met you both. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and Pat's tips. And, I do think that Sue and I were separated at birth. I hope to see you again soon. Don't know what else I will show you as you've already seen my basement. Not everyone gets to see the basement. Take care. Until next time...

The 1795 Acorn Inn was the perfect location for our 55th anniversary! Innkeeper Sheryl
Mordini has thought of every detail to make one's stay memorable, from the excellent breakfasts to the bedside chocolates-totally complete!.. We had the privilege of staying in the Hotchkiss Room, overlooking the beautiful back garden and close to the hot tub. Sheryl could be conducting a course in how to run the perfect B and B!

Room Tip: The Hotchkiss Room-very romantic.

From the moment we were greeted at the front door by Sheryl, the inn keeper, until the final hug good by as we left, our visit to 1795 Acorn Inn was flawless. The inn, which is impeccably decorated, is exceedingly comfortable and quiet with every amenity provided to make your stay pleasant. An enormous amount of thought and effort has gone into making this inn a place you'll want to return to again and again.
The breakfasts provided every morning are ample, delicious, and unique. During our stay we were served baked pear "pancakes", a delicate and flavorful quiche, and Creme Brulee French Toast.
If you are new to the Finger Lakes area, the Sheryl provides a wealth of recommendations, on everything from where to eat, which wineries to visit, or the best places for shopping and outdoor activities.

My family ad I stayed here for a couple of nights while skiing at Bristol Mountain. From the time of first contact with Sheryl, it was nothing more than courteous, professional, and accomodating. The room was amazing, very comfortable with more than what we could ever expect from a B&B. Loved the fireplace in our room, created wonderful ambiance- and made for a comforting evening after a day of cold skiing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet and comforting stay.

Our family returned to stay at this lovely gem of an inn for the second time across a three year period. We like to ski at Bristol Mountain and this bed and breakfast is very close to the hill. It is also near Canadaigua in upstate New York, and there are some fun places to eat in this town. Sheryl will put on a delicious breakfast that is elegantly presented with stemware, linens and fine china...candelight at breakfast can't be beat! Her creme brulee french toast is spectacular. This is a place for adults and very well behaved older children- while it is a bed and breakfast it should also be honoured as an oasis away from la vie moderne...there are fireplaces and cosy places to curl up and read. We have always enjoyed the hot tub in the little sanctuary garden, some fine wine, and beautiful views of the mountain apres ski. The only drawback is that you need to drive to get to a place for dinner, but this is hardly a hardship. I would return here across the seasons to experience the beauty of the area from a different perspective...this is wine country and one gets the feel that a driving trip around the finger lakes would be an ideal way to spend a week. A perfect place to perch for a day or two or more if this is your sort of respite.
