“Charming!”
Reviewed February 9, 2012

If you are looking for a warm, cozy, very tastefully decorated B & B look no further. It is furnished beautifully.
Cheryl provides a full and most delicious breakfast. Her friendly personality and smiling face adds to the enjoyment of being there.
As the name indicates, the inn is very old and rich with history. We will go again! M & D Greene, NY

Highly recommend. My husband and I stayed at the 1795 Acorn Inn during a weekend getaway to celebrate our 10th anniversary. This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised. The historic structure had a warm and romantic feel. The Innkeeper was both a highly efficient professional who gave a great deal of attention to every detail while at the same time felt like a warm and welcoming old friend.

Loved this place. We spent our 5 year anniversary here and it was the perfect getaway. Cozy, romantic atmosphere with charm and sophistication. Sheryl, the inn keeper, is a delight, and a phenomenal chef, too. Breakfasts were gourmet level, in presentation and taste. I never stayed at a B&B and was reluctant, but this one is top notch. Only complaint was our bed, which was a little springy, but otherwise a perfect stay.

Decades of traveling throughout the United States on business and for personal pleasure leaves one with many experiences, both good and bad. My husband's and my visit to the Finger Lakes was made extraordinary by staying at the Acorn Inn. The accomodations were exquisite. The details of the Inn's offerings in the public Gathering Room and the Dining Room were inviting, warm and picture perfect. Our room was large (The Bristol), the furnishings attractive and comfortable. So what else could be better? The morning breakfast! Each day we were greeted with fresh coffee and an outstanding food presentation. I love to cook and so does the Innkeeper. So I can be quite critical of details. Sheryl and her Mother are wonderful hostesses and definitely at home with others. It might seem that it is a requirement for innkeeping, but we all know that not everyone is suited to some areas of work. For these ladies, it isn't work but a pleasure. Although, I know how much time must be spent on keeping 1795 top notch! Can't wait to return. Thanks for the fantastic experience.

We recently had the opportunity to experience a real wonder of the Finger Lakes Region-the 1795 Acorn Inn. Sheryl, the warm and welcoming hostess, makes everything run so smoothly from daily activities to restaurant choices to the most sumptuous of breakfasts. The Hotchkiss Room left us without want, with it's spaciousness, romantic setting and down-to-earth comfort. We highly recommend to those who are looking for the step up from the ordinary.

My wife and I just returned from our annual trek to the Finger Lakes. What a great area to escape the daily grind. The 1795 Acorn Inn is a perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing and a great start in the morning with a first class, decadent breakfast. I cannot think of one item Sheryl hasn't thought of to make you feel at home during your stay. The rooms are of good size, and very nicely appointed. The one word I would use is "comfortable". So many B&B's are too antique-e for my taste. This Inn really gives you the feeling of a home away from home. We stayed this year in the Barn Suite for the first time. This is a separate building and it's like staying at your very own studio apartment, and it's only steps away from the main house for breakfast. Sheryl is quite willing and capable to give restaurant recommendations, or other places to see and do.
Obviously, returning to the same B&B for four years running says a lot. Especially from a couple that likes to try new places to stay.
Enjoy!

Room Tip: The Barn and the Hotchkiss would be our favorite, but we also enjoyed the Bristol room as well.

We started with one night and ended up staying 4 nights. Sheryl is a wonderful hostess. Very warm and friendly and helpful. Felt right at home. The inn itself is beautiful and beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home and more. It is also within reasonable distance to area attractions.

We had a very relaxing stay. Loved the privacy and the quaint back yard area. Food was fabulous and healthy! Absolutely would go back there again and recommend it to others.

.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful. Some larger than others. We had one of the smaller rooms but loved it'...
