I can't say enough about The Chalet. This was the perfect overnight getaway! The property was beautiful and the room was luxurious. There was a fireplace in the bathroom, need I say more? Margaret and Pattie are wonderful hosts, they made us feel very welcome. My boyfriend contends their homemade three course breakfast was the best he's had since being back in the country.

We will definitely be back in the future. Thank you Margaret and Pattie for an amazing weekend!

We had a wonderful, quiet weekend at the Chalet. The B&B owners truly thought of everything and have spared no expense seemingly both with the accommodations & also with the meals. The Chalet is on a large piece of property and well off the main road but easy to get to! Our room was cozy but spacious and we really enjoyed the gas fireplace as well as the rain head as the 2nd shower head in the huge tub/shower. Heated towel rack, Keurig, stocked with water, soft drinks, coffee/tea/hot coco plus the absolutely delicious breakfasts! You can't go wrong if you're looking for a romantic get away with your loved one. Our hostesses made us feel at home and took the time to give us great recommendations in the area based on what we were looking for. Great spot also - close to town but felt like you were at a private retreat. I can't say enough! We highly recommend the Chalet and hope to return ourselves.

Room Tip: I would try the upstairs rooms next time for more privacy! Though the deserts are placed right outs...

The Chalet of Canandaigua is fabulous. Perched high on a hill, the grounds are well kept and private and the view is breathtaking.

Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by one of the hosts, Maggie, who made us feel most welcome. The property is gorgeous and the rooms are well appointed and supplied, including a wet bar with a stocked mini fridge, utensils, plates, mugs, glasses, napkins and Keurig coffee maker. Nothing was overlooked.

The hosts, Maggie & Patty, are extremely knowledgeable about the area and are well supplied with maps, directions and brochures. The area is lovely and there are so many places to explore. I view this as a multi-season location, so that no matter what time of year you visit there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. Wineries, antiques, shopping, dining, site seeing, water activities and hiking are all there or you could do nothing except curl up on the couch by the fire and read a book or magazine while the snow flies outdoors.

Breakfast was always scrumptious and they worked hard to stay within my husband’s dietary restrictions. What a relaxing way to start the morning; with a cup of coffee or tea and breakfast by the window with an expansive view of the country side.

Our trip was very enjoyable and we would highly recommend The Chalet of Canandaigua.

A special message to our new guests from Quakertown! THANK YOU for taking the time to write such a wonderful review! We greatly appreciate it! We enjoyed meeting you both and sharing time with you over the three nights of your visit during the holiday season! I guess you got a great feel for "winter" hear at The Chalet as we experienced our first big snow fall! We hope the weather didn't hold up your return trip too much! Have a great new year, we look forward to seeing you both again perhaps in warmer weather? Regards Margaret & Pattie

This morning after a decadent breakfast, I soaked in a hot bath with a fire blazing next to me and snow gently falling outside the window. What a beautiful weekend we had! Patty and Maggie made my husband and I feel right at home the moment we stepped foot inside and hugged us both before we left. They made sure that our every need was met and that our experience was outstanding. They make you feel comfortable to roam the Chalet which we took full advantage of, curling up in front of the fireplace with our books and some wine. As you travel up the driveway to the cabin, you can smell the wood burning in the stove, delicious food cooking and everything else disappears and the cabin seems to exist in it's own isolated world. The feelings of coziness and cheer were just magical for us and we will be returning without a doubt.

Our sons gave us this stay as a gift for Christmas this year. They know we enjoy B&B's and they chose the Chalet. Little did they know that the chose the best one we have ever visited. Margaret and Pattie have a passion for what they do that makes your stay an unforgetable and magical experience. They leave no detail overlooked and there personal touches on the design and furniture is amazing. And then came the breakfast..... The 3 course gourmet breakfast was delightful. Both Pattie and Margaret denied that either one of them were chef's in earlier careers. But I find that hard to believe The food choices, preperation and presentation were something I would expect from a $100.00 a plate resaurant. And did I mention it was delicious?? You must experience "The Chalet" just once. But it wont be your last visit I assure you.

Room Tip: Woods view was our room but we saw all 3 and will try the others next visit.

We went and had a preholiday overnight to destress before the stress:) it was so nice to sit in front of the open fire alone and with everyone. You can't help but let your worries float away and take in the charm and cabin feel. It is more than words can say and the owners give such personal charm and personality to your whole experience. We have been three times now and we will continue to go again and again!

My husband and I found the Chalet online and booked the Balcony Suite for our mini-moon. We thought the pictures were amazing, but WOW, they just didn't do it justice! We felt like we had been transported to an exotic, cozy chalet on the Swiss Alps. The Balcony Suite boasts all the things one might desire for a honeymoon; I was particularly enchanted by the fireplace adjoining the bedroom and bathroom. The three course breakfasts and nightly dessert were positively sinful. In addition to being dangerously good cooks, Margaret and Patty are genuinely friendly and helpful; they were kind enough to set-up a wonderful couple's massage in our room and made all our dinner reservations for us. They also know all the best places in the area so be sure to ask for wine trail recommendations!

What I was most struck by was the way in which we felt like we had all the comforts of home while also basking in the amenities of a fine hotel. Our stay at the Chalet was the most romantic getaway we've ever experienced...we'll definitely be back!
