“Bella Rose was Bellisima!”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

My fiancé and I couldn't be happier with our stay at Bella Rose. The home was beautiful, especially Anna Eliza's suite. The breakfast included homemade blackberry jam and scones, fresh pineapple, and succulent eggs benedict on homemade English Muffin bread. Renee and Chris gave us detailed directions to our points of interest and took the time to make our stay perfect. We can't say enough praise about the Bella Rose!

Recently we stayed (only :( ) two nights at the Bella Rose. The stay was perfect, the room (Eve's) - bright and happy, breakfast was amazing and the hosts were great. All the little things made the difference.

Two weekends ago, while visiting our daughter and her family in Canandaigua we stayed with Renee and Chris in their Victorian delight, Bella Rose B & B. They have lovingly restored this great Lady and now lavish their love and attention upon their guests. First, the house is perfection...I can not think of one thing that could have been added to make our stay better...except that we should go again during the summer. That way we could have taken real advantage of the quaint balcony off our room in the evening....while enjoying a glass of wine from one of the local wineries. Our perfectly appointed pink/taupe suite, Aunt Eliza's, was the biggest; however, every room is gorgeous and full of creature comforts. The first floor parlor has comfortable seating, contains a library of DVDs for in room use, and a small fridge which contains soft drinks and water for the guests. Renee also puts out packaged cookies just in case your sweet tooth needs addressing. Breakfast was amazing! Renee provide an OUTSTANDING three-course breakfast each morning. It was so sumptuous that we did not think about lunch until 2 PM. Additionally, for my husband who is no longer eating gluten, Renee made gluten free scones....hubby reported that they were delicious, just like everything else. Renee and Chris are very warm, helpful and cheery. Everything about their B&B is perfectly lovely, just like them.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the beautiful Bella Rose and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The restoration that went into the house was amazing. No detail was overlooked. It was our first time at the Finger Lakes and Chris and Renee took the time to plan a winery route for us around Seneca Lake and showed us where we could get on the Erie Canal trail to ride our bikes on our way home. Their knowledge of the area was extremely helpful. The 3-course breakfasts were absolutely delicious ... no need for lunch. We have stayed at many B&B's over the years and Chris and Renee are definitely the most welcoming and gracious hosts we have ever met. They truly make you feel like family.

We spent two nights with Renee and Chris, and they provided a lovely stay. They have done an amazing restoration on their home, and their attention to detail was fantastic. They are also quite the chefs, serving a delicious 3-course breakfast each morning. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Bella Rose!

My wife and I just returned from 2 nights in Ann Eliza's Suite, and cannot wait to return! Neither of us have ever visited the Finger Lakes region before, nor had we ever stayed in a bed and breakfast. After weeks and weeks of reading reviews, and researching the area, I came across the Bella Rose. It had everything I was looking for, so I booked it as a surprise for my wife's birthday. It is hard to believe but everything I read about this place is true! The grounds, and B&B itself are beautiful, and remarkably clean, the breakfasts are amazingly delicious, and the owners, Chris and Renee, are exactly the consummate hosts everyone has been saying they are. They made our stay extremely enjoyable, suggesting things to do, restaurants to try, and they even left a card and assortment of delicious chocolates in our room for my wife's birthday. The B&B is conveniently located within walking distance to shops, wine tastings, and many restaurants. Canandaigua itself is beautful - we fell in love with this place. If you stay here you will not be disappointed. Everything you read is true - it really is THAT GOOD! Thank you Chris, and Renee! We can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: Ann Eliza's Suite makes you feel like royalty!

We have stayed in many b&b's and this place is outstanding. Chris and Renee take care to pay attention to every detail-from the big to the small. The furnishings are beautiful, the grounds are lovely, the food is excellent, the beds are comfortable, and the hosts are attentive and gracious. It truly is a home away from home.
