“Our favorite bed and breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

i love the Bella Ella. So glad we found it. Comfortable, homey and Jeri makes the best breakfast. Everything about it makes me happy. Quaint and cozy old farmhouse. Sit by the pond or use the kayaks or paddle boat. Watch the horses or sit a while in the "quiet spot". Build a fire on a cool evening and watch the stars. You will love it.

Room Tip: Ella's Room is perfect.

The description said "queen suite". Silly of me to assume that meant a queen sized bed in a suite, which would possibly include a bathroom. Wrong. What we got was a tiny room, a full sized (very uncomfortable), 2 feet of floor around the bed where we could store our luggage, a refrigerator in the closet. If you closed the door to the loset so that you could feel the ancient a/c, the closet got so hot, I moved our jackets out for fear of starting a fire.(N0 smoke detector in our room, just the base.) So we could hear the a/c all night, but not feel it because the closet door opened out in front of it. Owners were absent.
We were left one bath towel for two of us, one bar of soap in the bath which we shared w/3 other couples, and a cable tv which got 4 channels (all local) at most. The owners are very nice people, we met them at breakfast the next morning, but they know nothing about running a b&b.

Room Tip: Call them, if you really want to be in the middle of nowhere. I see from another review that a queen...

We arrived and were met by our host who introduced us the the other guests and gave us some information about the B&B and things to do and see in the surrounding area.

The room was very small and the promised fridge and/or hairdryer were not in the room as advertised but everything was spotlessy clean and tidy.
We were a bit disappointed by the shared bathroom but this had nothing to do with our host but was more an oversight on our part.
We were staying in the deluxe room but I didn't feel that the extra we paid to stay in here was worth it compared to the standard room which we were shown by the other guests the next morning. The large room with bath was worth the extra money and I would recommend this as the best of the three rooms to have.

The garden was very large and nice with a lake in which one could swim or sit overlooking from the lawns.

Breakfast in the morning was lovely and plentiful, served by the very friendly owner.

The Bella Ella is about a 10 minute drive way from Canandaigua itself where there are plenty of places to eat or take a walk along the lake.

Charming B&B, perfect location, quiet and yet not far from beautiful Canandaigua. Jeri and Nick are simply the best ! Will have to come back with the kids - they would love to play with the animals. Finger Lakes area charmed us - romantic setting for the wedding we attended. Wineries, rolling hills and lakes.

We stayed for three nights in Ella's suite. It has a beautiful, comfortable queen size bed, three large windows to view the property and scenery. Ella's room also has a over sized whirlpool tub for 1 as well as a separate bathroom with shower. It has a small TV (not that we used it), radio, desk & chairs....beautifully decorated! We woke to coffee and an awesome very filling breakfast including two types of fruit, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, tea.....We stayed in April and the grounds were still picturesque. We were able to feed the two horses, walk around the beautiful, clean pond, sit on the porch and sip coffee! It is just a few minutes off the busy path of canandaigua, we had privacy and were just a short drive to many restaurants and wineries. Jeri and Nick could not have been nicer. It is obvious that they really are called to be inn keepers. We will be back for sure as soon as we can. Do not judge this inn by the few reviews....it is simply a hidden perfect gem. We really can't say enough about this experience. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Room Tip: Ella's room is large with a private whirlpool tub and separate bathroom. The other two rooms are...

If you need a place to relax and be taken care of this is the place to go. The Ella Bella Bed & Breakfast has charm, warmth and a clear sense of family. Jeri treats you like royalty with everything she does. From the accomadations to the food to the beautiful park like surroundings, you couldn't ask for a better setting to be in. She will help you plan your visit with many interesting places to go or you can enjoy resting by the pond and taking in the scenery with the horses out in the pasture. I highly recommend the Bella Ella. You will be truly blessed!

Room Tip: Ella's room is beautiful!
