The place does not look like much, located next to a gas station, but once you go through the doors you will be swept into it's warmth . We had lamb with orzo ( it tasted like my beloved grandmother had made it ) and grilled shrimps ( which retained their sweetness even with the smokiness of the fire ) . The pita bread is warm and homemade, the Tadiziki was smooth and light . We finished the evening with a Frappe ( a coffee drink that I first had in the Greek Islands ) and promised that we would return soon, to try everything else on the menu .

There is absolutely nothing to say that's wrong with this restaurant. Ask for Adan, enjoy the service and the wonderful food, the enticing and exceedingly friendly environment.

Wonderful food, like being in a restaurant in Greece. Ethnic music, fresh and vital fish and lamb, a great find in this part of the world. Can't do without it now, and we go at least 3x/month.

I love their food. It is very high quality and delicious. The down side of that is it can take a little longer. It is also jammed on weekends. It is bring your own wine. Everything I have ever had here has been delicious.

It is nice to know there is good Greek beyond the souvlaki at the local diner. We have had good experiences at Nikko’s in White Plains. We were skeptical when friend in Bronxville said Elia Taverna would be better.

The food was really the focus. We shared a few appetizers. The zucchini cakes were very nice and the tzatziki had a hint of mint. My grilled tuna special was very fresh and grilled perfectly. My wife had the salmon which she also enjoyed. My friends had salmon and the chicken kebob; both were very happy with their meals. We had nice big pieces of baklava accented with cinnamon.

They took our reservation Saturday afternoon. It is good they did because the line spilled into the street when we arrived. Our friends said they are usually packed on a Saturday night. The décor was somewhat sparse with a focus on squeezing in more tables. The white plaster walls and Mediterranean blue glass accents were nice enough.

A bit better than Nikko’s, but both are quite good and a BIG step up from Diner Greek.
