Not all fancy, but completely authentic. Friendly service, a bit crowded, a bit noisy, everything you could want from a close-knit family restaurant. The pastas are out of this world good - especially the orechiette with broccoli rabe. The mains were less transcendent, good, but not great, so I'd order extra pastas to share. The salads and starters were all delicious as well. Overall a great experience. This restaurant will be our Arthur Ave. destination place.

Tra di noi is located just off Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. The restaurant is small, quaint and casual with red checkered tablecloths. Nothing fancy. They take reservations, which is a huge plus in the Arthur Ave. District. Note: Parking is tough to find on a Saturday night.

The service was great: our server explained all the specials in details, provided recommendations, and was very attentive.

Our food was very good. Great appetizers--try the fried calamari and the artichoke hearts. Our pasta dishes were cooked perfectly and had a variety of sauce selections. Everyone in our party enjoyed his/her meal.

A nice dinner.

There are lots of italian restaurants in the Bronx, however, it is quite difficult to find one that feels and tastes like authentic Italian. Tra di Noi is just that. The staff is extremely friendly and truly interested in making thier patrons feel happy and comfortable. We ordered baby artichokes and the salad for two as appetizers and minestrone milanese and shrimp fra diavolo over linguini. Everything we had was flavorful and cooked perfectly. If you are looking for authentic Italian try Tra di Noi. You won't be disappointed.

Our family of five dined here two weeks ago for dinner because of the recommendations here on Trip Advisor. The restaurant is relatively small, but we had no trouble getting a table at 7:30 p.m. on a Friday... and it was February. (It is about two blocks from Arthur Avenue). We did not have reservations, but would suggest it because it is a small restaurant. The staff were attentive, efficient and very nice. The food was really very good, especially the pasta....seemed like it was very fresh. We had lasagna, pasta with porcini mushrooms (I don't know the Italian name for it); gnocchi and a chicken dish. I loved the lasagna. Also, the food is reasonably priced with good portions. For years I have gone to Little Italy downtown New York and had been extremely disappointed. We were able to get free street parking and we felt very safe in the neighborhood.

We had a fabulous lunch here. Started with calamari, arugula salad and cold antipasto. Had everything from spaghetti and meatballs and veal parm to fish. Everything was delicious. Even just plain pasta with marinara sauce was out of this world. Portions were good. This is not your typical huge portions of average food kind of Italian. Portions were just big enough and all delicious. The service was great. We were able to get a table for 6 without a reservation, but they do take reservations. Lots of extended families eating together. Not sure the lunch prices are cheaper than dinner, it was about $37 per person before tip with no alcohol or desert. Would definitely return, even with so many delicious options nearby.
