“Great place for a drink but small compared to other Hard Rocks”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

We stopped for a drink before our tour of Yankee Stadim. Good service. memorabilia is related to the Yankees. So guitars with pin stripes. It's small compared to other Hard Rocks so limited memorabilia on the walls. Still worth the visit.

Thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to write a review. We are glad you enjoyed. We are a bit smaller than most cafes and have limited wall space to hang memorabilia, but, the pieces we have chosen to hang all have a connection to New York, Yankee Stadium, or both. We were able to add the pieces that we aquired from Anthrax and Megadeth when they performed at the stadium for the Big 4 Concert and will hopefully acquire more from the future concerts.

“Pre-game Beer and a Burger”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

Fairly solid, but nothing spectacular. Coming from the UK, I found it a bit disturbing having all the calories on show! This is a NY thing rather than a Hard Rock thing, but still takes the edge of the enjoyment when you realise you wasted most of your day's allowance at a single sitting. I guess that's the point! As an aside, Yankee Stadium itself is amazing. I couldn't find anywhere on Tripadvisor to review it, but catching a game should be high on the list of every visitor to NY.

Thanks for taking the time to review and thanks for stopping by when you were in NY. I wish we were "spectacular" on your visit, as we strive to deliver authentic experiences that rock to all guests. The calorie count is mandated and can be a bit of a joy kill. The one thing to remember about the calorie count is that it includes every morsel of every item on the plate. Our portions are large and most folks only eat 3/4 of the food, and the calories, on the plate. We can, and do, help guests work around the calories, when they ask. Sauces and dressings can be served on the side and higher calorie items can be swapped for lower calorie items, if the guest chooses. Many guests merely look at the calorie count, laugh, order, indulge, and say that they are on holiday, at the Yankee Game, or both, and will hit the gym harder when they get back home. I am very glad that you enjoyed Yankee Stadium and we look forward to serving you next time.

Thanks again,
Jason Petrina,
General Manager

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

We had just taken a Yankee Stadium Tour and as we are avid Hard Rock souvenir 'hunters', we wanted to take the opportunity to go there. The shop opened at 10am and was well staffed to help with our queries (e.g. alternative sizing in t-shirts). They didn't have a great range of items but it was all uniquely themed so we were able to purchase shot glasses/bottle openers etc however due to limited sizing in clothes, we were not able to buy any themed t-shirts which we thought was a shame.

We did stop for a drink while there and we were warmly welcomed by the bartender but due to time constraints, we didn't stop to eat although there were patrons sat close by who were dining and their food looked as good as usual (as Hard Rock do the same menu throughout the world - although they do have slight variations depending on their location).

I would recommend visiting this Hard Rock despite there not being the full range of souvenirs, they still are extremely helpful and will go and search for products rather than just assuming that all stock is out (which you often find in other retailers!!).

“Pre Game Meal”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

Got to the stadium for a 7PM night game around 5 and were seated quickly. Not too many in restaurant since it was a Friday night home game. I got the twisted mac and cheese and my wife got the apple cobbler and ice cream. Both were good, especially the cobbler which my wife said was the best she's ever had.

Service was great and merchandise was reasonable.

“High Calories”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

The food is average, but the prices and calories are high. Most of the menu items have calories over 1000 calories per dish. I recommend waiting to eat in the stadium, as there a lot of good places to eat. The service was average too, as we were there right before game, and it was packed!
