We always look forward to our camping trips in the Adirondacks, as a stop to Dairy Frost is a must! You get more than what you pay for when it comes to the serving size of a cone or dish of ice cream or sherbet. I highly recommend Uncle Ed's ice cream sandwich as it is always made to order. The milk shakes are thick and keeps its flavor to the end. The staff is always friendly and polite. We are disappointed when October comes around because we know the end is near.

The locals line up ten deep at this place. Yes, the ice cream is good but I don't get all the hype, while everyone raves about it. I don't think it's anything special in terms of the food; it's an ice cream stand. It seems to be the only one for miles, so maybe that's the appeal? Last, I find it very annoying that in the middle of summer, this place CLOSED by 9PM, even on weekends! It's located at a major crossroads; the roundabout junction of Rts 30 & 29. Certainly they could do a lot more business until at least 10, if not 11PM like most ice cream stands I know.

Dairy Frost is known for it's generous servings and long lines. On a hot day you can wait 20 minutes to place your order. However, the variety of flavors offered is nice - each day there is a special flavor.

It is worth the wait if you need a break from driving or are headed to the lake.

Go to Dairy Frost when you visit. You won't be disappointed. Mondays are Banana days which is the best and Tuesdays they have coffee ice cream which is also great. They have a huge selection of items and the prices are great!

How can you not love a drive-in ice cream place that has been around for years, is located on a very busy intersection of two local highways, and usually has lines 5 or more deep?

The Dairy Frost, at the intersection of routes 29 and 30, does it right. Soft and hard ice cream, many flavors, sundaes, floats, dips, you name it, they have it.

Service is quick, there are some tables (outdoor seating only) but if you are like me, you'll get your treat and then sit in the car with your friends / family and enjoy the ice cream dripping down your chin.

A pleasure for adults and children alike. the best place to stop on a sunny summer evening!
