We decided to stay here on the way back to Ohio from Maine this past fall (yeah, it took me a while to finally make an account on this site). The hotel was easy to find. Check-in was HORRIBLE. We stood there for about five minutes. I started to think that no one was even there. We rang the bell and waited and waited and waited and waited. I saw some McDonald's food sitting out and realized someone must be working. Another guest came in and I started to talk to him. At the sound of our voices, the girl came out of the back to check us in. Our room was nice and clean and quiet and that made up for the check-in experience. There wasn't any lotion in my room and since we didn't bring in all of our luggage, I called downstairs to ask if I could get some. I was told that there is only one lotion given out per room! Who does that? I told her I didn't have any and wanted some. She reluctantly agreed that I could come down and get some--she didn't offer to have someone bring it up. The breakfast was good--hot items and the facilities for eating were clean. The bathroom was nice and clean too. Check-out was just as much of a pain. This was a different staff person. He went to "help" someone and we waited 20 minutes to check-out!

Mid December, my family and I drove from Florida, we stayed in Richmond, Va at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Richmond Northwest (on Mayland Dr) and then we were forced to stay overnight near Syracuse, NY due to dangerous winter weather conditions.

I had called ahead to the Holiday Inn Express in Brewerton, NY to get prices and availabiliy and booked a room on the phone without doing any research due to our situation.

After our PERFECT stay in Va, this hotel seemed drab, older and definitely not as clean. Although, honestly I have nothing to complain about except that the rugs were stained and desperately needed a good cleaning/replacement. Other than that, this hotel was clean, very close to I-81 and very friendly. The continental breakfast was good although not as good as Fairfield Inn (in Va.)

I guess after staying at a very clean and somewhat new hotel, this hotel didn't seem as great. Also, this hotel was more expensive than the Fairfield Inn which I wasn't too happy about after seeing my smaller, not as new, not as clean Holiday Inn Express room after another long day of driving.

Despite all I have said, I have no other complaints about this hotel and my family and I did get a very good night's rest. The 2 queen beds were very comfortable and we woke up completely refreshed to tackle a new day. Also, we all left satiated from the continental breakfast in the lobby. Friendly staff, too!

This hotel was very nice, I stayed here for 3 nights while on business in Syracuse. It is very close to lake Oneida, and I believe about 30 minutes or so from Lake Ontario. Brewerton was a little lake town with some nice restaraunts to pick from. Overall this was a nice place to stay, the breakfast was good with the normal cereal, bagels and toaster waffles. I would stay here again.

We spent a quiet, comfortable night at this hotel. The room was clean and the size quite adequate for three people. We had plenty of nice fluffy towels and hot water for showers. Although there is no pool, Lake Oneida is nearby. It offers a swimming beach with lifeguards, kayak rental, and fishing. During the evening, there were white chocolate macadamia nut cookies in the lobby. The breakfast featured hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, waffles, french toast, cinnamon rolls, juice, and coffee. The breakfast room was spacious with plenty of seating. If we return to the area, I would definitely stay here again.

The area round the hotel is fairly ordinary but if you need somewhere to stay in the Brewerton/Cicero area, this hotel -just off I81 - should meet your needs. This is a relatively modern property with good sized, clean rooms. The only negative as far as we were concerned was that the water temperature was not as hot as expected and this despite it being a relatively quiet period when we stayed. The Breakfast buffet also was a little below standard for Holiday Inn Express. For dinner, there are a few choices close by - the most modern seemed to be the Waterfront - a sports bar on Route 11, which also does food but, in the end, we opted for DG's - also on Route 11 - which is a family restaurant which offered a middle-of-the-road menu, with good sized portions at reasonable prices, served up by friendly, homely waitresses. I would be happy to recommend both the hotel and this restaurant to anyone staying in the area.

Our son's hockey team stayed here which is a 5 minute drive from the Twin Rinks in Cicero. The hotel staff was great!! There were at least 3 teams staying in this hotel. The patience the staff and housekeeping had was great. Housekeeping worked well into the afternoons to tidy up the rooms. The breakfast bar allowed the kids to have the carbs needed to keep their energy up while skating. A great family restaurant (affordable, great waitstaff and good home cooked food) which is about 5 minutes away is DG's--between the welcoming feeling at the hotel pared with this excellent restaurant, we had a great time. The were no fridges or microwaves in the rooms, but the front desk offered their microwave if we wanted anything heated up. I'm sure Brewerton is a small town, and the staff at this hotel gave us a 'nice to see ya' attitude, which is always welcoming. Minor problem, with 40kids and their parents having to be at the rink at the same time hot water was scarce.
