Description: We are a 1946 Service Diner originally from Wooster, MA. This dinner was moved to Bolton Landing in 1989 to replace the old 1904 Bill Gates Dinner which was placed in the Adirondack Museum. We take pride in keeping our dinner in its early native state, and love to see people excited about our little treasure. It is a quaint, buzzing atmosphere in the summer and houses many of the locals in the winter. November thru Mid May hours are: Friday thru Monday 7am-2pm, closed Tuesday's and Wednesday's. Mid May thru the summer we are open Every Day 7am-3pm.

My Husband and I love the Lake George Area and travel there frequently. We were there Labor Day Monday and Tuesday this year and were very excited to go to Bolton Beans. Last time we were in Lake George (2010) we had one of the best dinners at Bolton Beans. We were disappointed that they weren't doing dinners anymore but had enjoyed our breakfast at Bolton Beans the last time we were there. So, we decided to have breakfast instead and man was that a mistake. I'm not sure if there are new owners or managers or if the owner has just stopped caring. Not only was the food sub-par but the service was horrible. There were two younger servers who just seemed like they could care less and one bossy older lady who was not only rude to the customers, but the other employees as well. The "highlight" of the bad service was when I asked the older woman for a glass of water and was not only ignored but met with a very dirty look. If you are looking for good breakfast in the Lake George Area visit Caffe Vero in Lake George Village.

“Overrated”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

My wife and I went here based on TripAdvisor reviews. It is a very small, outdated, train car diner in the heart of Bolton Landing. It has about 6 booths and stool/counter seating. It does have outside dining if weather permits. As other reviews stated, they do have good coffee. My wife got a toasted blueberry muffin that was warm on the outside but very cold on the inside. She sent it back to get warmed. The muffin was tasteless, gummy, and was in need of sugar, I got the ham and white cheddar omelet with a side of ham, hash browns and rye toast (one slice, two halves). I tasted the grease that the omelet was fried in and the hash browns needed to be cooked more. I had breakfast at the Cafe Vero the prior day and the omelet there was excellent. Should have eaten there twice. The excellent reviews of Bolton Beans must be friends of Bolton Beans.

Recommended by local folk decided to try. Very friendly staff. Great omlettes and sandwiches. Would return. Reminded me of old nostalgic diner.

We loved coming to this place for breakfast! Great coffee and great tortilla egg and cheese wraps! Was a little warm when we ate inside but overall it was great!
