We have been staying at Melody Manor every August for the last five years, and will do so again this year. It is definitely one of the best places to stay in the Lake George region. The grounds are beautiful, the view of Lake George spectacular, the rooms are very nice with the exception of the bathrooms being a bit tight, the pool is nice, and there are activities on grounds such as row boats, basketball, and a tennis court. To the contrary of some reviewers, I find the proprietor Damien to be very personable and friendly, and he has treated our family like family. The Villa Napoli restaurant is excellent and is one of the better restaurants in the area. My wife and i particularly enjoy the well prepared breakfasts in the cozy breakfast room, while our teenage boys sleep in. Every now and then we look around at other places to stay in the region, but have not yet found a place that compares with Melody Manor, so we keep going back. If you want a place to really relax, unwind, and de-stress, then Melody Manor is a good place to try.

My family has been going to Melody Manor Resort and Restaurant for over 30 years. Our family has grown and even with extended families have had a wonderful time. Through the years I have witnessed the resort and restaurant always keeping its facilities top notch, clean, updated while preserving the special quality it has. It is a very special place and has flourished many memories for our family. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly that it feels like a home away from home. The prices are reasonable and worth every penny. The view is absolutely spectacular and the landscape is an estate sitting on a piece of history... the good times shared there is priceless. We also had family in Europe that came once to Melody Manor about 20 years ago and they still talk about what a wonderful time they had staying there. Villa Napoli Restaurant has a variety of quality food/wine selections and great service whether you come by boat, car or are staying on the premises. Our family along with some new additions are looking forward to this year at Melody ....especially working and living in NYC its a great change of pace and I can't wait to get there.

As a mother of both teenagers and a younger child, i can not recommend this hotel highly enough for anyone staying in the lake george region. The neatly kept property is beautiful from all angles, and the staff and manager are both extremely welcoming and helpful, qualities hard to find in many hotels today. The view of lake george is simply breathtaking, and the hotel also contains many ammenities for my children, including a swimming pool, a tennis and basketball court, and beautiful beachfront property, complete with a well sized dock for personal and rented boats. And all of this is before taking the beautiful and reasonably priced restaraunt, Villa Napolli into consideration. This italian restaraunt, convieniently located right on Melody Manor's grounds, offers by far the regions most delicious dining services, and a full bar as well. I cannot begin to describe how enjoyable my stay was here, and i cannot wait to spend many more summers at this resort.

nice location with very basic accomodations that are priced "resort"style in summer. In line, though, with most everything else in this area. Private motel operators with a short season commanding premium rates for very basic rooms.

This resort was very nice. The view from our room was great. My husband uses a wheelchair & the room was hard for him to get into, due to a step. He was able to get into the room with some difficulty. The room itself was very nice & large. The was a bench seat in the bath for my husband to use. Because the season was over in the Lake George area the restaurant was closed just like many others in the area.
