Had a great time on an extended weekend at the Blue Mountain Lake Inn. Most of our time was spent in and around the lake. Across the street from the inn are two great features; a public beach and a place to rent boats (http://boatlivery.com/).
Based on the previous review I was a little concerned about the inn itself. Inn Keeper Tyler was great and ensured our stay was nothing but perfect. Clean rooms, towels and bathrooms. There was a great porch for the evening and pancakes and eggs were served for breakfast. We had access to a grill and one night we setup a big bonfire in the firepit. Only four of us went but it looked like the inn had about 10 rooms. Next year, if rooms are available, we plan to bring a larger group.
Everyone around the lake was friendly and we even made some new friends on Osprey Island (the lake has a bunch of islands you can explore). We spent time exploring and water skiing but noticed lots of people fishing and kayaking/canoeing. There isn't much in the immediate town in terms of bars/restaurants. There was a corner store about 10 mins away by foot where we were able to find some beer and a few items we forgot. The boat livery place also sold pies, slushies and firewood.
