Been coming here on-and-off since at least 1977. I remember the days of Drazen's across the street, Woolworths around the corner, and the droves of business people purposefully ambling up Court Street. Jobs downtown were aplenty. How times do change.

From generation-to-generation people come here, even for a Labatt's on Shabbat (Jewish Sabbath). Yes, even my grandfather had come here with his clients, occasionally.

Food and drink selection is exquisite. Service is good. Tom and Marty's is an institution downtown and probably always will be, regardless of the magnitude of numerous downturns.

One caveat, in my opinion: Crowd has become rather snippy, out-there and rather transient in nature. Otherwise, I can still dig this place, for sure. Enjoy.

If you're into a lively bar scene with a YOUNGER crowd -- i.e., college age and just out of college, the entire State St. strip might be for you. LOUD, raucous, and heavily policed by Binghamton's best and brightest. (Let's just call them the Binghamton's PD. BPD HQ is just around the corner -- so behave yourself!)

On Thursday nights this place and every other place on the strip was crazy. Beers were about $4, so it's neither cheap nor too expensive. Like any other college town crazy bar, except there are choices to the right and to the left if you are bored. Just don't DWI -- BPD are all over the place; have a DD or call a cab!
