What a pleasant surprise the Starlite was for a band of gypsies traveling all over the area in search of a place to stay. When plans at our original destination fell through, 10 of us were left "homeless" and desperate for a bed. We were all so pleased with the accommodations here. Each room is decorated in such a cute and funky retro style, and comes with a kitchen, and a complimentary breakfast basket. Beds were comfy, and our favorite part was the backyard space. Each room had a door in the back that led to your own deck space with a grill. Beyond that were screened in gazebos where we all would gather for laughs, drinks and roasted marshmallows. The woman who runs the place was a complete doll. The Starlight saved our vacation. :)

The owner was so pleasant and willing to please. She takes a personal interest in each of her guests and goes the extra mile. Her smile was a joy to see each day. She checked every day to make sure that we were happy; and even offered to move me to a room with better cell reception. The Verizon cell service booster was a definite plus.
The kitchenettes were a valuable asset with so few restaurants near by. We loved the outside firepit and picnic tables.
The room was clean and well stocked. There were a few minor issues with a loose toilet seat and light not working; which were immediately repaired.
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay at the Starlight if I ever get back to the Southern Catskills again.

Room Tip: The Verizon cell booster is in the office. Cell service is better closer to the office.

A bunch of us had a very bad experience at the place we were staying and needed somewhere to crash for a night. We found The Starlite Motel. I was pleasantly surprised! The person who runs the place was so sweet. The place is clean and has a cool 60's feel to it. :) I'd stay there again for sure.

My husband, friends and I needed a place to stay for a night when our vacation plans for the week suddenly changed. We rented four rooms at the Starlite Motel and were very happy with the accommodations! The rooms are spacious with full kitchens (stove, oven, fridge, microwave and table). New flat screen tvs with access to Netflix, HBO Go and many cable channels. The rooms are nicely decorated and are very comfortable. We were each given a "breakfast basket" for the morning as well as a quart of milk for our cereal and coffee. Behind the motel are screened in rooms where you can sit outside and enjoy the mountain air and each room has access to a barbecue. There is even a fire pit where you can roast the marshmallows Michelle gives you upon checking in. I highly recommend the Starlite Motel.

Our stay at Starlite Motel was enjoyable. The rooms are nicely decorated, neat and clean. The bath towels are like new, soft and luxurious, not the hard white crap that many hotels offer. The basket of breakfast goodies was a nice as was the fresh quart of milk placed in our fridge. The location is great, between Phoenicia and Margaretville. They have cell phone booster service so your phone will work around the hotel (service is spotty up there, this is a great convenience).
Michelle is very nice , thanks !
