The place is simply gorgeous. Well managed. Been to at least a dozen shows there....spectacular. The good Woodstock vibe lives.....

I was told what a wonderful festival this was by a neighbor near my vacation home in Sullivan County. The fee to enter wasn't so terrible @ $15 per person and you get to keep the souvenir wine glass. We were to enjoy a sampling of wine from the vine, as well as specialty foods, cheeses and craft vendors. The afternoon would also feature several short wine seminars to pique the interest of any wine connoisseur, as well as musical performances to entertain guests while they enjoy the festival set against the beautiful backdrop and scenery of Bethel Woods.

What was experienced was a jammed pack mob scene. the 2 buildings that were set up for the vendors were packed over capacity. People pushing & shoving to get to a table to sample 1/2 ounce of wine. No order or system was set. We waited at one table for over 20 minute to get to one table for a tasting. We were there @ the festival for 2 hours and were only able to get to 4 vendors' table.

Never again will we attend this disaster of an event. Even if it were free.

VERY DISAPPOINTED.

This is the most gorgeous concert venue I have ever been to, right on the site of the original Woodstock festival. It's worth the trip & check out the museum, too!

It's a three-hour drive from our home in Upstate New York but the trip has always been well worth it. The setting is gorgeous and the acoustics are top notch, a great place to relax and enjoy some of the best touring bands or orchestras. And then there's the history (Woodstock) and the site's fascinating museum (separate admission) tribute to that event and era. Allow time to take it all in. And allow time to get in and out of the parking lot, not to mention the healthy trek to and from the concert site. Best advice: Take out a membership, even at the bronze level, so you can get access to the best/closet parking lots and fast-track admission as soon as the gates open (avoids the long lines, especially for popular youth-oriented acts). Food is pricey but the members' restaurant area is very nice and the food is good.
