If you get to Bemus point, for example when making a stop in Jamestown, you’ll notice that there are very few dining options. This one is decent and probably very similar to the other 2-3 restaurants you’ll find around. It’s mainly fish and Italian dishes; for us vegetarians/vegans, the only option was pasta with tomato sauce. Our carnivore relatives were satisfied with their entrées. We did find outrageous, however, the $10 they charge for shared plates. Simply don’t tell them you mean to share with somebody else and you’ll be good to go.

“A nice unique dining experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2014

There are 2 restaurants in one establishment. Server was excellent. Some nice little service things I do not want to give away. Our food was excellent. Dessert is limited unless you like family style as the desirable desserts are for 2-4 persons. Little costly, but would go back. My wife had pork and gnocchi - it melted in our mouths. She could not finish, so I got to taste it.

“Great location, average food”

Went on a rainy June day, but we were able to sit on the outside deck. We were able to stay dry, while some of the other tables experienced the leaky awning.

Food isn't cheap and the menu at lunchtime is not extensive. You come here for the waterfront location, rather than the cuisine. Service is friendly, but this early in the season, summer help was inexperienced.

Perhaps we would have had a better time on a sunny day!

A dear friend in Lily Dale wanted us to experience this place and I am glad she did.

Driving up from "The Dale" was picturesque enough, and when we arrived in Bemus Point it reminded me a little of the Cape. We were early for our reservation, but the waiter Mathew seated us at the best table inside. The manager came out to personally greet our hostess, and our server even remembered what our dear friend had the last time few times she ordered.

Every single course was perfectly presented with a degree of professionalism that is all but extinct, There were five in our party and every one was pleased. The very best cocktails, a fine quality of tea was brought to the table for selection, the portions just right and delicious. "Breaking Bread" here is almost sacred. Even it was perfect.

Other establishments should strive to duplicate every facet of this restaurant. It was truly that good. No detail was overlooked. It was a perfect evening. Thank you, dear Gerta for taking us to a corner of heaven by the lake!

“Great find for lunch”

After an hour of visiting the little shops in the area we came by this restaurant on the water. We did not go through the restaurant to get to the water so I cannot comment on the interior.

The portions are huge, just as the waitress warned and therefore we chose to split one of their salads. Excellent choice and we will return before our trip here is over.
