Description: TRUCK is a casual, neighborhood restaurant located in charming Bedford Village. TRUCK's menu is inspired by the down-home cooking traditions of Northern New Mexico where the food has been influenced by Cowboy, Native American and Mexican cultures. TRUCK's menu features tacos, enchiladas and signature salads made with grass-fed beef, sustainably raised pork and vegetables straight from local farms whenever possible.

Have heard quite a bit about this restaurant so wanted to give it a try. Atmosphere interesting, minimal, converted barn, shabby chic. Very very noisy though. So don't go for intimacy, unless of course you are a celebrity and warrant their special treatment with private seating. FYI, waitress dropped names left and right. Yawn yawn. They think they are something special and let us know. Not sure what the hoopla is about, except maybe for the homemade corn chips and guacamole, which were excellent. Otherwise, food was Ho Hum. I had two tacos that were mediocre and my dining partner had the Bedford chopped salad, also nothing to write home about. Service was confused. First they brought the wrong dish, then we got a check with items we did not order. All in all, bad taste in my mouth. Don't go out of your way.

Hello Suzzers,
It's so unfortunate to read your review of TRUCK, we remember serving you and it seemed as if you and your friend were enjoying yourselves. Our apologies if our humor came off as "name dropping," that was not our intent it was simply to have a little fun. It is true, the space is loud, it's designed to assimlate the feeling of being in a barn, which is part of the charm for a lot of our guests.

We found this restaurant purely by chance.
So glad we did.
It is a fresh and I believe almost all organic restaurant.
Mostly with Mexican flair.
We had the trio of tacos and the enchilada dish.
Both were excellent and fresh.
We also had the guacamole for appetizer , also quite good .
Great service.

Really good tex-mex with locally sourced produce and meats. Owner is lovely and energetic, but sometimes the staff doesn't match. Decor is very cool. Food finally brings some spice and flavor to an area that specializes in overwrought colonial inns serving overcooked duck. Habenero hot sauce is fantastic and can be purchased to go. Margaritas are the best for miles around. Fav is the pork burrito. Reasonably priced given the area.

They didn't deliver on food, service, or value, but I have to say the place is cool and kitschy. No one bothered to ask how we were doing, we always had to flag someone down. As other reviewers noted you have to pay for chips and salsa. Chips and salsa are the Mexican restaurant's answer to bread everywhere else. The kids ate all the chips so we had salsa left and asked for more, and they charged for chip refills. Ack. The food was not great. Mediocre at best. Four ppl with one ice tea/lemonade and ONE draft beer and no entree was $100 with tip (two kids and two adults). I don't mind paying for good food, never have, but I have to say I felt a little violated after getting that bill. We won't be back.
BTW, they get their tortillas from a famous place in Corona, Queens that has real authentic Mexican - Nixtamal - it's SO worth the trip, you would not regret it.
