Beautiful hotel located on wonderful property close to the Hudson River. The interior of the inn was outstanding and the rooms very clean and spacious.

Unfortunately we didn't have full access to all the facilities, and the inn was very busy with workers, because they were filming an episode of the tv show The Following while we were there, but we will definitely head back in the near future to see the hotel in its full glory. Fantastic.

We had a fantastic stay at the Bear Mountain Inn for our wedding. We booked the queen suite. The room itself was massive, it had a large living room that comfortably fit 10 people and a nice updated bathroom. All of the rooms in the Inn are located on the 3rd floor right near the Spa which is nice because it's away from the public areas of the Inn.

All of our guests stayed either in the Inn or at the Cottages or the Lodge and everyone was very happy with their accommodations. All of the hotels are smack in the middle of a great state park so there are plenty of activities to enjoy.

We will definitely be back!

Even if you're from the area and have frequented the park before, a stay at the Inn is something you should try! The room was rustic, spacious, and comfortable. The Inn and room was very updated, clean and well kept. Dining/bar available on second floor with a snack shop on the first. There is even a spa! The staff was also very friendly. There is a cute gift shop and plenty of things to outside! Hiking, paddle boats, merry-go-round, a zoo and museums too! Worth a weekend getaway.

We had a fantastic experience planning our wedding at the Bear Mountain Inn. Brittany and her team were extremely helpful from the moment we arrived at Bear Mountain. I would recommend this venue to any couple. The rooms were clean and spacious - the bridal suite had enough room to for a wedding party of 20 to get ready in. In addition there were plenty of rooms to house our friends and families (between the inn, lodge, and cottages).

All in all a rather strange experience.... Rooms nice and comfy albeit a bit dark. Front desk staff very nice and friendly... TV very hard to work out till I found the laminated instructions. Continental breakfast very lacking. They might want to think of replacing the waffles with bagels and toast. Fruit was fresh and yum though. Restaurant was closed that evening so we drove to table 9... Good recommendation by Will.i.am!
The building itself is like a large log cabin. We are lucky to not have been there on weekend when apparently they have functions galore!
We stayed here as we had to head back to NJ early and didn't want to have so far to go. So good location for that.

Stayed for a night while looking for a place to rest after a long shopping day in the vicinity and were pleased with the room and amenities provided.

The price was great especially compared to NYC where we had stayed until then but maybe they make up for it through other facilities such as the spa. We did not have time to explore those.

Unlike some other reviewers we seem to have stayed there when there were no functions. We had a very peaceful time.

The restaurant was closed by the time we reached there (for dinner) and had to do with pizzas delivered to the room. Breakfast closed at 10 am and we happened to be late for that as well. Luckily the staff were polite and got some out for us.

Room Tip: Ask if there are rooms facing the mountain/lake

We chose the Inn for its location, close to West Point and Storm King Art Center, as well as for its hiking opportunities. We were surprised and delighted with the quality of the lodging. Our double queen room was large and very nice, with mini fridge and microwave. Wonderful old photos of the park framed on the walls. No desk, which was minor for us, but might bother others- from a brochure it looked like other rooms have desks though, so we suggest you ask if it's important. Wi-Fi worked fine. I don't think the rooms were full, but we did not hear other guests, often a problem with newer construction. Every staff person we met was extremely friendly and helpful, for example finding a corkscrew for us. Sunday night we dined in the 1915 restaurant onsite- wonderful food and service. Unfortunately it was not open Monday or Tuesday night (not sure if this changes later in the season). Monday we crossed the river and had a lovely dinner at Cathryn's Tuscan Grille in Cold Spring. There are also restaurants near West Point, but we couldn't find a fine dining one. There didn't seem to be any fine dining options south of the park either. The park pool was closed except on the weekend and the gift shop was nice but limited hours (again this may change in the summer season). We enjoyed hiking in the park and nearby, and drove up to Perkins Tower for a great overview. The Inn is close to everything in the park. If you prefer some distance from the day trippers (probably gets crowded on summer weekends), the Overlook Lodge and the Stone Cottages are more secluded. We looked in the lobby of the Lodge which was furnished similarly to the Inn, charming rustic decor, but the building doesn't have the character of the Inn. The Inn has only 15 rooms, all on the 3rd (top floor) which is nice. The restaurant (where complimentary breakfast was also served) is on the 2nd floor, very convenient (the Lodge has breakfast in its lobby with a great view- the staff invited us to join them there if we wished). Breakfast offerings were a bit sparse compared to complimentary breakfasts at most hotel chains, and there is no nearby full breakfast option. Some minor suggestions for management: Promote the Inn by putting a laminated sheet describing its history in the guest rooms and a free postcard to send to your friends. Reconfigure the front desk or add a bell because the staff cannot see when someone is waiting and someone waiting isn't sure if anyone is around. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay again when in the area.

Room Tip: Ask about furniture because it seems to vary by room (no desk in ours but apparently in others).
