“Great Time Chilling at Chill!”
Reviewed September 4, 2014

As always, our last trip to Chill was just perfect. This is my fifth or sixth visit and Chill has been consistently wonderful. I can't speak to the wines, although I can say there are definitely a lot to choose from. We always get sangria and it's always excellent, nice big glass with yummy fresh fruit.
They have a limited menu, paninis and cheese platters and the like. I've had every kind of cheese platter they offer and they're always super fresh, with a great variety of cheeses, meats and fruits, and the servings are quite generous. Very good value for the money.
They have really nice live music, usually some kind of jazz/blues band.
The bar itself is beautifully decorated with lots of different seating options. In addition to the bar, there are tables to sit at, couches to lounge on near the music, and cozy seating areas with more couches and comfy chairs in the back.
The service is always friendly and fast, with an easy, warm, laid-back manner. The place is named Chill, after all!

“Blah”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

Owner is rude, wine selection lame and the menu was stupid. Tried it a couple of times and decided I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

“Excellent”
Reviewed February 22, 2014

I have been to Chill Wine bar now on three different occasions and all have been great.
Twice I went there on a Saturday when there was live music, and once on a Friday, no live music.
The setting is nice, the place used to be an old laundromat, and has been tastefully renovated into a bar, walls are exposed brick, a long bar flanked by small tables along the wall, and more informal comfy chairs all the way to the back and all the way in the front, so whatever your preference is, there is a place where you can chill comfortably.
They only serve beer and wine, and the sangria is pretty good as well, though that is more of a seasonal thing.
As for food they serve panini's and a variety of cheese platters including cheese & fruit, cheese & meat etc.
I enclosed a pic of the interior and of the cheese with meat platter, the platter on the pic consists of pulled pork, smoked Gouda, aged cheddar, brie, goat cheese, olives, sausage, salami, Parmesan, sun dried tomatoes & a royal amount of toasted Tandoori bread.
I have noticed quite a bit of people on yelp and other review sites complaining about the cheese platter, that it was "stale", "mediocre" or just sub standard.
I have sampled these types of platters in NYC, San Fran, New Orleans and quite a few other places, and I have no idea where the people that complain about this platter are from, but as far as I'm concerned this platter is very good, and at $13, about the best value you can get.
I will certainly go back to Chill, if your easy going and just want to have a good time, do visit this place, you wont regret it.
If your you feel your standards are much higher than the average person (or you think they are anyway), and you just can't get over the eclectic decor, or over the fact that they don't serve a good Chateau Lafite-Rothschild with a side of Beluga caviar than stick to the high end wine boutiques in New York City.
