I hesitate to give this place my best review only because it is such a great place. The owners take great care to meet your needs and everything on the menu is amazing. Not to be missed.

Brothers Trattoria is a small restaurant on Main St. in charming Beacon, NY (a little town on the Hudson River, accessible by train from New York City.) Brothers features, first and foremost, a friendly staff and wonderful greeting for every diner. Sit down, enjoy the menu which is tasty Italian foods and fresh seafoods of all types. I ordered the Chicken Romano, a dish filled with riccotta cheese and eggplant. It was served hot, delicious, and was enough for two meals. Pasta with their tasty tomato garlic sauce, fresh bread, and a small salad rounded out the meal. You can set your own budget because it is possible to fill up on as little as $6 or $7 or splurge and go up to $20. The waitress kindly checked out table over and over since there were six diners, and no two meals were alike. Some ordered seafood, some classic Italian dishes, and one of us opted for soup and salad. We were all pleased, and all took home the extras. Now, these are the leftovers that you don't forget to eat because when you open your fridge, even at breakfast, you want to smile!

Brothers has parking around the back. If you are full and want to walk it off a bit, there are lots of charming small boutique stores around, and the Howland Cultural Center just may have a concert in its small venue for 100 people with fabulous acoustics! I was there in January, and saw Pete Seeger and friends singing loudly and with passion, still trying to save our world.

Brothers does have a small party room in the back, probably suited for 20-30 and no more. Our family did have a party there in October and once again the food was great and the service even better.

Six good friends looking for a halfway point for a nice reunion lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and we couldn't have done better than Beacon, NY Brothers Trattoria!... Great food selection for all of us, meat-eaters, seafood and vegans and everyone enjoyed their meal, cooked to our specifications (one of us is channeling When Harry Met Sally) without a blink... wine selections are limited, but good labels to choose from; but when food is this good, and the service spot on, then all is forgiven :) .... Beer drinkers were happy with their choices. Relaxed, attentive, cool decor... Will definitely be our "Cheers"...

Pizza. Soup. Spaghetti. You'll eat it, you'll like it, you'll be full. You won't post a picture on Facebook of your magnificent meal, but so what? 'Nuff said.
