“The place to go for pho.”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

We had searched for good Pho in Queens or Nassau and tried a few places which never matched what we had found in Texas and on the West coast. However, we finally found Saigon in Bayside which pleased us enough to return whenever possible. This is a small neighborhood restaurant with the most delightful service you can imagine. The food is always pleasant, the prices are reasonable and there is a nice variety to choose from. Most of the clients are Vietnamese and/or Chinese which says a lot since there are many ethnic places in Bayside and nearby Flushing.
Go there - you will not be disappointed.

“Outstanding Vietnamese in Queens”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is THE place to go for the real deal if you love Pho and other Vietnamese (and some Chinese) classics. The restaurant's clientele are mostly Vietnamese, which is a good sign right from the start. The broth in the noodle soups is rich and flavorful; the garnishes fresh, and the selection of soups, while not huge, runs the gamut of all the necessities. The satay and curry noodle soups are especially beautifully spiced. The appetizers are fantastic; I've not had better spring rolls in NYC and the rest of the appetizers and non-soup item dishes are all beautifully prepared, ingredients are fresh and great quality, and the prices are beyond reasonable. Servers are usually quite friendly and not brusque. The parking lot in the back is always helpful for busy times of day when the street is crowded.
