“Pleasantly surprised.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2011

Went here with three co-workers on a business trip since it was recommended by one of our interns who worked in our office a few years ago. It was a Monday night, unexpectedly busy, and obviously unprepared for the crowd of people. But the bartender/ waiter was single-handedly taking care of each table with a sense of humor, a smile and efficiency. The food was terrific- the home made chips and special sauce dip is a must have! Very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. It's true what they say- it really makes you feel like like you are in an authentic Irish pub.

“Marvelous Irish Pub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2011

I'll admit I'm a snob about so-called "Irish Pubs". For many they hang a few Irish momentoes, play some Irish CDs on their sound system.... but it's still simply a sports bar otherwise indistinguishable from others with the same loud crowd and TVs.

O'Laceys is a small town pub, in the classic sense of the word. A pleasant, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere. The general ambience is not unlike pubs we were in when we visited them in Ireland. It's amazing to me to find this is an admittedly out of the way location. It's not a recreation of an Irish pub, but it feels like one.

O'Laceys offers:
- Guinness poured with proper care and with a shamrock in the foam
- freshly made potato chips
- a variety of burgers, stews, sandwiches, etc. all excellently made
- Tuesday night "all you can eat" buffets in teh summer
- occasional live music

It is seldom when we pass by Batavia (we live in Rochester about a half hour away) that we don't stop in for at least a pint and a basket of chips.
