Folks had recommended this place and it was well worth the trip. Nice inviting interior, friendly
Owner and staff. Great salads, but the fried chicken stole the show.beer and wine only. Will definitely go back.

While visiting from the UK, the Historic towns of Saratoga Springs and Ballston Spa, we visited 51 Front wine bar & bistro. Excellent food, atmosphere and service. On two different occasions, me and my husband tasted the steak which was very succulent and juicy, the coconut shrimp, which was out of this world, the salmon which was very filling and presented in colours of yellow corn and green avocado, as well as the amazing beetroot ravioli which I never thought would have tasted so delicious.

If you are after a different dish for starters, try the meatball trio. Delicious!!!!

Well worth the visit.!!!!

We wanted to check out their once a month Brunch, First Sundays, well worth the drive, quaint atmosphere, friendly and personable, and the variety of dishes offered were SO delish we were "forced" to overeat!!! We were offered fresh mint water!! So refreshing!! Reminds me of a European Cafe.

I am happy to report that the new owners have preserved the wonderful food, atmosphere, menu and pricing at 51 Front Street. They have also added new items of Greek origin. They are a young couple and Elena is the hostess and her husband is the chef. Elena is enchanting and easy to talk to and is excited about the Village of Ballston Spa, living here and operating 51 Front Street. They were sponsoring a menu item for Muscular Dystrophy Association (pizza and wine or beer). We had small pizza with wine and it was delicious and came topped with fresh crisp lettuce topping. I ordered the Fried Chicken (half a chicken breaded and deep fried) with mashed potatoes and vegetables and my wife ordered the Pork chops with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Both of our meals were excellent. The waitress was an old friend from the previous management that couldn't have been more accommodating. Go there it is wonderful.

Very slow waitress with serious attitude. Food was good but the atmosphere was lacking. Incredibly small restaurant. Does not work if you go with other couples and plan to have conversation.
