Review of Kadizora Camp
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 21, 2015
Staying at Kadizora was the highlight of our trip! It is a beautiful camp with luxurious amenities and a wonderful staff. We were warmly welcomed and well taken care of. Our game drives were the highlight with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. This is a destination not to be missed!

the camp is located in the NG12 private concession( i have added photo of gps position ) ..it is not inside national park..there are advantages to be in the private concession compared to national park... for example u can make night drives and go anywhere you want even into the bush by leaving tracks...but also u can rarely see local people and cattles around...it is 45 minutes from maun and 90 minutes from kasane by flight...we stayed at there between 7th of august and 10 th august...the tent is luxury established..it was two days pack that consist of 1 game drive , 1 nature walk , 1 boat and 1 mokoro ...at the same time it is possible to make night drive at there without extra charging if you have a fully inclusive pack...so the arrival and departure times for the camp...the meal times are meeting times with other guests and your guide at the same table... there is no fence between wild life and you..there is a lagoon near the camp and you are sleeping with hippo sounds...in okavongo delta wild life is shy..we observed a lot of herbivorous and birds, lion cubs , serval, honey badger ...my aim is to see leopard and wild dogs but i cant...our guide was KT...it was pleasure to spend times with him...we learned a lot of things from him as you cant hear that knowledge anywhere...i would choose this place in the future with much more game drives ....i think the boat cruise is not the perfect way observing delta because of the engine sound..this sound annoys everything especially in the full gas mode..i think mokoro should be the only way to explore delta..this traditional way is peaceful ...but be careful hippos..i think mokoros are not safe when it comes to hippos..with additional safety, mokoro will be the most important attraction of delta..to see elephants in the lagoon feeding with water lilies is priceless..camp has wifi but it is weak sometimes...

Room tip: the tents near the camp center (number 1,2) is in the wifi zone...

This is 5 star camping with all the add ons! The location is on a penninsular so water one side and the African plain the other. The camp is marvellous, the food and service very good but the highlight for us was the animals. We saw more animals in larger herds at a closer range than any other camp or lodge. The whole experience of being up close and personal with so many animals is worth every penny! The only down side is that the airstrip is about 50 minutes away but in reality the staff build than in as part of the experience. I would thoroughly recommend Kadizora Camp to anyone interested in a true African experience.

Room tip: We stayed in May and the weather was perfect

This camp was awesome and the highlight of our tour. The facilities were great, the food was terrific and the game drives and the mekoras (poler canoes) and nature walks were fantastic. Our guides Mr. D and K.D. as well as our hosts Sue and Greg were so personable and informative that are stay there with their great staff was truly memorable (along with Franklin the elephant).

This cute little camp went out of their way to welcome guests. We were greeted by all the smiling, singing staff members and handed towels to wipe off the dirt from the delta roads. This was an adorable spot and provided exciting game drives and boat safaris (mokoro and motor). It was amazing to find a place where the tap water was safe to drink and they still included all beverages in the rate. These folks did their best to please.
