“awe inspiring”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

An amazing place, beautiful baobabs and rounded rocks. We walked to one end and sat overlooking the pan, absolute silence, quite special. Beautiful at sunset, lovely colours.
Lovely camping sites, very basic long drops smelly, but leave the door open and it dissipates, it seems a shame to pollute this special place.
We were lucky and some sites empty so very peaceful at night.
Worth the journey.

“Absolutely breathtaking and other-worldly”
Reviewed June 28, 2014 via mobile

Words cannot adequately describe how spectacular this place is and photos won't do it justice.
The baobabs, the pans, the rocks, the sunset, the deafening quiet at dusk. Worth the drive and worth every cent to camp there.

If you want to see a special place on this planet of ours and yet at the same time feel like you are in a different galaxy point your car in the direction of Kubu Island and let the magic fold out in front of you.

“Natural wonder”
Reviewed May 20, 2014

One of natures greatest wonders, the baobabs are stunning. Watching the sunset from the island is an experience I will never forget.
However the nearby campsite was busier and noisier than most of the campsites on the trip due to the popularity of the island.

“Awesome Place”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

The scenery here is breath taking and the beauty of it is that there are not many camp sites thus keeping the number of visitors manageable. My only gripe is the state of the long drop loo's which were not well maintained.

“Place of awe...”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Magical is the only word i could use the describe the setting and atmosphere of Kubu. Admin was fast and effective and very friendly staff. The ablutions however is almost non existent witch creates a def bio and health hazard as all the people are using the surrounding area for their toilet needs. We will def visit again.
