We visited the normally dry Savute in August of 2011 to find that the river was full for the first time in 30 years. This did not hinder the game viewing although there were a few roads that were flooded and some of the camps were flooded.
The highlight of the game viewing was multiple herds of elephants, a group of huge kudu bulls, and leopard stalking frankolin.
Plenty of wildlife to see at least this year.
