A really friendly, low key & relaxing place with a lovely ambience. Staff and managers are terrific and accommodated anything we asked. Tim, our game spotting guide, was just awesome - very knowledgeable and informative.

If you are planning a trip to Chobe National Park in Botswana plan to stay HERE!!! The lodge is amazing...beautiful views, perfect accommodations, and the most personalized service you may ever experience. Ngoma is all about taking care of its guests! Ask for MK as your safari guide. Having grown up in the area, MK was extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in and around Chobe and was eager to share the richness of his culture. His outstanding knowledge combined with a great personality and sense of humor made our visit to Chobe one that will never be forgotten!! Can't recommend Ngoma and its outstanding staff highly enough! Can't wait to go back!

Room tip: The view from. Each of the eight chalets on the property are essentially the same...BEAUTIFUL!!!

The Ngoma Safari Lodge is perched overlooking the Chobe River plains into Namibia. The luxurious rooms are excellent - Roomy, comfortable, air conditioned, well appointed and all with extensive views of the floodplains and numerous herds of wildlife.
The staff were genuine, knowledgable and welcoming throughout. The lodge is very well managed and organised by Jarryd and Frances and you are in no doubt from the moment you arrive that you are in safe hands and you really feel welcome and comfortable. Meals and drinks are magnificent, plentiful and proudly introduced by the chefs with everything included.
Our Guide, MK, told us many stories and was full of information about the wildlife. Game drives were offered morning and afternoon with the optional morning boat cruise proving to be outstanding. All activities and transfers to and from the lodge were well coordinated and planned.
We saw many animals and birds - herds of zebras, water buffalo, blue wilderbeast, elephants, waterbuck, sables and impala. There were many lilac breasted rollers, fish eagles, vultures, giraffes, kudu, hippos, a secretary bird and many others. One of the highlights was a close-up experience with a family of lions including cubs, expertly tracked and located by our guide, MK.
The drives were comfortable although in August we needed a warm coat, beanie and gloves under the supplied ponchos in the morning. Layering is good as it gets warm by the late morning.
It was a pleasure to meet and drive with other guests and share their experiences.
Watching animals from our private deck, plunge pool or the common lounge facilities was incredible. The staff served a magical dinner on our deck on the last night and their efforts to make our stay exceptional were most appreciated.
All in all a highlight in a wonderful trip to Botswana.

Looking for an a lodge that is not over run with people where you will get personalized Safari's from someone who grew up locally...if so this is your place! MK our guide grew up in the area with his grandfather telling him about the animals and has lived there all his life...this is his backyard and he knows it well!!! There is not one question that MK can't answer. After a day out looking at all the animals you can then look forward to a great shower or soak in the tub followed by a delicious meal served by Chef Bonnie with a perfect wine paring. Frances and Jarred along with their staff will make sure you want for nothing!!! M. Johnson - Atlanta Georgia

Room tip: Rooms #1 and 7 may allow you to see elephants drinking from your private pool!

The web site photos give you a hint of what to expect - however walking in to reception down to the bar area for the first time is stunning. Once settled in to your rooms you will find very comfortable well appointed room and your own private deck with a plunge pool which is great after a safari. Our pool was partially emptied one night as during dinner elephants wandered through and chose to drink from it. The staff are just the nicest people, each night the chef announces the dinner menu to each table and you can tell they are proud of what they have prepared. The food and wine selection is superb.
The guides were very good - you see lots of animals and the local guides share so much local knowledge with you - they work hard to ensure your every need is met and they do it with genuine passion.

Room tip: No room is better than another here.
