The place is ok. We only used the room for one night. They close the water Park early so my kid did not have the chance to have fun.The breakfast is only bananas, muffin, coffee and Orange juice. So for the price I don't think is worth to stay here.

I've read several reviews of this hotel and just felt I need to tell you of our great experience. The positives were many: Check -in and out was a snap. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were in #233, a corner, by the stairs room. I was dreading the upstairs, but it was PERFECT. I recommend that room: near the stairs and no problem with noise. The room was huge with 2, very comfortable,Queen beds. The AC worked perfectly with thermostat. There was a newer TV (approx. 30") with remote; all worked perfectly. The shower area had been re-done with slate tile and the curved curtain bar; all nice, clean and worked perfectly. I always have to hunt a place to plug-in my cell phone, but not here. Plenty of outlets within easy reach to plug those charges into. There is a microwave and frig in the room. Our grandson used the WiFi and said it worked without problems. He also takes a little longer shower than normal, but we never ran out of hot water! We would stay here again without question. We didn't stay here because of the pool and didn't use it, but did see several people enjoying it. It isn't huge, but adequate with a nice small pool for the toddlers.

The only least than perfect was just the basic Continental Breakfast. It was coffee, tea, juice and muffins. Since that was 'as advertised', I really wouldn't call it a negative...it was just what I expected. So bring some extra snack/breakfast items if you want more in your room. There is a restaurant just around the corner that opens early for breakfast. We didn't try it so can't comment on the food. The restaurant doesn't stay open late (8pm), so if you are going to the Cavern's evening Bat Program, you should either eat before the program, have items in your hotel room to eat or plan to drive into Carlsbad for dinner after the program. The restaurant will be closed when you come down the mountain.

We loved our brief stay here, but would stay at this hotel again when in the area.

Room Tip: We were in #233, upstairs on the corner nearest the stairs. It was convenient, quiet and easy acces...

When we first drive up I was a little sceptical but the rooms were clean and spacious. Has a microwave & mini fridge. Bathrooms were clean. They have a pool & a small water park for the kids which they loved. Muffins & fruit for breakfast which were good. Not a whole lot to complain about.

We have adjoining rooms and they are satisfactory. The bathrooms look like they have been updated and the vaulted ceilings in the upstairs rooms are a nice touch. That being said, the motel is old, the pillows are not great, the beds are okay, and there is nowhere to eat nearby. But because we are in White's City, we are a very short distance from the caverns. So, if you want to see the bats at dawn or dusk, this is the hotel to rest your head.

We slept great, rooms were clean, yes clean, shower worked fine, and management was friendly. Having looked at the other properties in town, I was glad that we stayed here. I'd stay in this hotel again and my picky wife agreed that it actually turned out to be a decent place to stay. Beds were fine and linens were clean. Puts you only a few minutes from the Caverns.

Room Tip: Stay here, instead of in Carlsbad, when visiting the caverns. Not the Hilton, but I found nothing s...

nice to be close to caverns after a late started trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were fair; big rooms and nice hot showers. As stated by others that were there about the same time, very old hotel. needs major update. had beetle and fly problems. breakfast was so-so. was disappointed in the pool hours. would recommend only for its closeness to caverns.

This is the closest hotel to Carlsbad Caverns. There's really not much else to pick from unless you want to drive 20 miles or so to stay in Carlsbad.
Older hotel. Old, thin mattresses, bedding. Our room appeared to have new carpet but it was a shame that it hadn't been vacuumed. If I hadn't been so tired, I would have asked for a vacuum to clean it myself.
Bathroom seemed fine, clean toilet, good water pressure in shower.
Front desk people were very friendly and check in was pretty fast.
Waterpark (included with stay) consists of 2 large waterslides, a kiddie pool/play area with fountains, pirate ship. The pool happened to be closed but we were still able to go on the slide a few times.
Breakfast was a packaged muffin and a small carton of o.j. Room had a fridge and microwave. I wouldn't want to bring food into the room because there were already plenty of bugs crawling around.
Location is excellent to caverns but wouldn't want to stay here more than one night.

Room Tip: If you are going to the caverns in the evening for the bat flight, bring a towel or stadium seat to...
