It is like coming home. The personal service, the details, the breakfast and the spectacular views are the highlights of Cliff Lodge. Gideon, Chantal an Niko make you feel at home. They give tips on what to see and help with lunch and dinner reservations. But really, if you stay in the Ocean Suite, after a perfect breakfast, you just want to stay home and enjoy. Reading, working, sunbathing or just looking over the water. A true carefree vacation.

A small boutique hotel which offers spectacular views onto the sea, access to a nature reserve which caters to walkers, swimmers and runners and accommodation in well designed rooms which will immediately make you feel at home.

A great experience for anyone looking for a special stay. All staff are friendly and helpful and they make delicious homemade carrot cake.

Stayed for one night. Lovely B&B. Truly fabulous views from the communal balcony. I think we had the South Room which isn't sea facing, but the owners have cleverly crafted a small garden on the side so that we still had a lovely sea view. Comfy bed etc. Come here if you want a really relaxing time walking the coast, spotting whales, and generally chilling out. Go for a swim but its VERY cold. We saw 1 whale just as we arrived and then nothing sadly, guess we'll have to come back again. And finally, the staff & owners are all great.

Room Tip: Try and get a sea facing room if possible (obviously!)

Superb in every way. We stayed in the North room for 3 nights - couldn't get enough of the breathtaking view. Loved the personal touch and attention to detail. This one definitely comes highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed in the ocean suite for 4 nights and were mesmerized by the tranquility and spectacular views from the private lounge and private deck. The personal service and hospitality of Gideon and Nicko, who is an expert barista, made our stay very special. Superb breakfast too.

This was our last stop on our visit to South Africa and, like all the accommodation recommended by Aardvark, was perfect. Gideon, Chantelle and Nico were excellent hosts and their hospitality second to none. The breakfast was wonderful and freshly prepared to order - Nico's coffee was beautiful. And in the afternoon Chantelle's home made carrot cake was great. Their restaurant ( and wine) recommendations were also great and we had an excellent dinner at both Rosemary's and Kloek's@home. Our room although very comfortable was small with a limited sea view (South room ) but with the excellent view from the main deck to take advantage of it really wasn't an issue. The weather took a turn for the worse on our last day and their advice and guidance to ensure that we had a safe journey back to Cape Town and the airport was very welcome and invaluable.

Our 3 night stay at Cliff lodge was really great and have recommended it to friends that have already booked for next year. The very pleasant room we stayed in was next to the pool with a secluded private space to the side that had great views out into the bay. The staff were all very friendly and efficient, Gideon offers planning advice to you each day which was helpful, and he cooks a mean omelette.
