Ulusaba (Safari Lodge) had been on our wish list for a while prior to our visit in Oct 2012, our expectation levels were high and we were not disappointed! The lodge is fantastic, food excellent, staff incredibly friendly & professional and the rooms well appointed...and whilst all of this is important lets face it, thats not what we were going for! The game viewing was brilliant, it is a true privilege to witness African wildlife as it unfolds in front of you and we were thrilled to experience some outstanding moments during our 5 night stay thanks in large part to our guide Johnny and tracker Dan. Johnny was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, his patience and good humour made every game drive special, he provided us with some very special memories and was a massive part of the reason we loved our time at Ulusaba. We have been lucky enough to have been on a few safari's and whilst each one has its merits our time at Ulusaba is up there with the best! Not often have we shed a tear when departing from a holiday destination but we are not ashamed to admit that on this occasion we did... It's great to know that one day we are sure to return.
