“BRILLIANT!”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

We have been to the bird show 3 or 4 times and will continue to go again and again. For bird lovers, people with small children, nature lovers or pretty much anyone looking for a unique bird experience you have to go to the bird of prey centre. A must is one of the flying displays, Mark and the team are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and it is infectious! Seeing the raptors close up and in flight is quite something and must be experienced. I cant recommend this place enough!

“SOME THOUGHTS”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

I recently had the priviledge of visiting this remarkable centre and getting up close and personal with Barney the Barn Owl - what an experience, the highlight of my first trip to Dullstroom.

I would like to suggest that you make your access paths - especially to the demonstration area more wheelchair and mobility scooter (for the disabled) friendly. My friend had to use one of the latter and he battled to clear some of the rocks and uneven patches of ground.

The other suggestion I have which I believe will benefit your Centre is to have more memorabilia available in the gift shop. I would have loved to have been able to purchase a mini Barney as a reminder of my visit to your remarkable centre.

Mark you are a born entertainer (ten out of ten to Matthew for his good humour), a fantastic display and lovely healthy birds kept in impeccable conditions.

Very informative how these people speak about the birds they have rescued from all sorts of ordeal. You even get to fly an owl!

“Raptors experience”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

We did the normal show/education at 10:30 (another show at 2 PM) which was great and very informative, but we also did the Raptor experience which is a one on one session with some of the birds where they come and sit on your arm and feed on some meat. Really awesome to have to have these birds so up close. Only negative was that the Fish Eagle seemed to have to smallest enclosure of all the birds. Take sun cream and camera!
