we had three nights here and were really chilled out when we left. Our chalet was spacious and very comfortable, with a lvoey en suite area(bath and shower) and a f abulous terrace under thatch, overlooking the river and when we werent on the river or game drives we would sit there with our binoculars to hand and just watch the river and the plains beyond -very, very restful ...and we were the only people staying.
We did a river cruise early morning and spotted all the elephants on the plains across the river/ The followng day arrangements were made for us to go over to the larger sister lodge for a game drive to find the elephants(which we did).
we had some super game drives from our area with an experienced but new to Mvubu guide who was very enthusiastic and managed to find rhino for us, at very close range. The views from the hill top behing the lodge were unrivalled and you could see across the river to the lake beyond. This lodge was smaller and more intimate than its sister and we were very glad we had stayed at Mvubu. The food was good and plentiful, my husband had an excellent massage there for around £16.The experience was realy good and the staff couldnt do enough to help.
