I always stay here when I pass this way. The rooms are average but the AC’S work well. It has a restaurant on location as well as a bar. Their free breakfast is good and most of the staff are very accommodating. There is a guy with a beard that has been there for many years. Nice guy, very accommodating. The lady in the morning on Sunday, not so much. Paid more attention to her dog than her customers.

Rooms were clean. From the parking lot you get a amazing view. The breakfast was amazing. The building also has a pool in the center of the court yard. The staff was friendly. Great for the price. The location of the building was easy to find

Tucumcari is a tough place to choose a hotel. Plenty of inexpensive period ('40s and '50s) places which are very attractive, plus some high-end places right off I-40. I picked this one to get Choice Rewards points, but was pleasantly surprised. It is somewhat reminiscent of the '50s, with large, clean rooms and outside entries. Yet it also has a GREAT free breakfast with all sorts of veggies, cheeses and salsas to go with the scrambled eggs and sausage. Plus an excellent fitness room. And what looks like a very good restaurant (although we chose to eat in town.)
It is convenient to I-40, yet out a little ways from the main part of town. My only regret is that they were still readying the pool to open for the season. It's one of the few "old-time" pools yet to be found, with a real deep end (9')! Staff is super-friendly, too. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Room Tip: No elevator, so if stairs are an issue, make sure you book a ground-floor room.

A lovely adobe-like structure, rooms face either into the inner courtyard pool area or outwardly to the
New Mexican countryside. Staff all know how to do everything from front desk to food serving. They respect one another and fill in wherever needed. We enjoyed dinner in the small restaurant. Our room is spacious and clean as are the grounds. I wish we could stay another night.

Good, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated rooms. Older premises, but well maintained. Friendly desk and restaurant (inside the lobby, good food) staff. Extremely slow internet service, if that's critical to you, probably should look elsewhere (this is in the desert in NE New Mexico). Good value. Sunset from second floor photo.
