Enroute to Nevada stopped at this Motel in Tucumcari, NM. Undergoing some renovation, a little messy but not a problem. Staff was helpful. Facilities were very clean and quiet. Had a King size bed in a King sized room, very nice..

Comfortable bed, good shower, and a balcony. That's all I ask for, and thyis place delivers. Continental breakfast with the Best Western addition of some hot choices; (sausage, biscuits/gravy) Situated next to a K-Bob's steakhouse with a Subway and McDonalds accross the street. There are other restaurants nearby as well.

This motel was not too bad, it was pretty spendy for what it was. We have stayed in several Best Westerns and this one wasn't quite as nice as some of the others. Next time I would probably drive a bit further for more options. Our room was pretty clean, the bathroom and sink area needed a little help. The TV had poor reception on the many many news channels that it offered.
The lady at the front desk during check in was very friendly, she accidentally charged us twice and corrected the problem right away.
Tucumcari just doesn't offer a lot in the way of anything, again next time we will just keep going.

We were on our way back from Arlington VA. Ride for the Wall trip, Memorial weekend, stopped here because we were tired didn't want to continue on to Phoenix. Az. in the heat, we were on our motorcycles. desk clerk was very helpful even with a tour bus load of people on there way.
Our room was huge & awesome for the price. I have told my friends to stop and check it out. We also stayed at 2 other Best Westerns on this 30 day trip, Greenburg, KS.~ Chattanooga, TN.
They all were awesome.............Deborah & Chuck Outman

I stayed here on a road trip from Chicago to Phoenix. We were moving with our 2 large dogs and 3 cats. This hotel was not only accommodating to our pets but had a dog run out back and tile floors in the rooms. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Service was great. I would recommend it to others traveling with pets.

Room Tip: Call ahead if traveling with pets and they will give you a room on the first floor with tile near th...

My two kids and I stayed here last night. The lobby was very nice, as was the cozy room where the free breakfast is held. However, our room, although it looked clean, smelled like carpet deoderizer. The doors are really cheap looking, like you could put your foot through it. The decorations should be good, but I couldn't get past the shiny walls, which did look freshly painted. All of the walls are painted in a shiny, high gloss paint, which must make them easier to clean but makes you feel like you're in a hospital. The carpet was dark and smelled and I felt it was probably hiding dirt. The counters are formica and the door to the toilet area almost brushes the toilet because the room is so small. The beds were comfortable and the sheets are the nice, high thread count kind. The air-conditioner is very loud, prevented me from falling asleep although my kids didn't have any problem with it. The door to the rooms open to outside corridors which made it easy to load and unload the luggage. The pool looks beautiful and would have been refreshing if we'd had the time. Overall, I wouldn't stay there again without sniffing the room first. I know they try very hard to keep things clean and everything but the carpet was clean. I just couldn't get past the carpet.

Room Tip: I enjoyed being able to see the pool from our room, which had a little patio with chairs. Ask them f...

Stayed here while traveling to Dallas. Tucumcari doesn't have much of anything so this was one of very limited options for our budget and standards. The rooms are good size. Clean enough except for the dead baby roach or beatle bug on the receiver holder of our phone. Our room looked directly onto highway 40 so unless you sleep with a/c on all night or use white noise machine you are probably going to hear it. Breakfast was your average free hotel breakfast. Same ol' stuff. Next time I will just bypass tucumcari all together and stay in Amarillo if going east or Santa Rosa if going west.
