Don't drive past looking for some chain restaurant, you will miss out on the best service and food. This is one of the last places to offer a salad bar, everything was fresh and tasty. My chicken strips had homemade buttermilk batter and country peppered gravy, my husbands liver and onions was done right which is hard to find these days. Service was quick even though the place was hopping busy on a Wed night.

“June 1 2013”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Wait staff were good. Place was very busy on Saturday night at 5 PM. Food was O.K. Salad bar was included in the entrée, but nothing special. I had the sirloin steak, medium, and it was average. My wife had the chicken teriyaki, and she liked it.

“Great, I mean great Chicken Friend Steak”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

Another throwback in time to Route 66 with excellent food and service. We ate there while overnighting at the Blue Swallow in route to Colorado. We planned the return trip without a stop in Tucumcari, but planned to eat at Dell's for lunch. So sad when we learned they are closed on Sunday's. Glad they close, but sad for not getting a second run at the CFS.

“Absolutely delicious”
Reviewed May 26, 2013 via mobile

The food was fantastic here. My two mates got the steak and I ordered the fajitas and we were mightily impressed.

Highly recommended. The service was excellently the way, well done to the girls who served us. Can't wait it's come back in a few years and dine again.

“Our first taste of New Mexican food”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Loved this restaurant...friendly, efficient, and busy. It was our first taste of NM food, and didn't disappoint. Loved those Sopapillas with honey to take the heat out after the chili! The margaritas were good too. There was quite a crowd waiting for a table, but a gift shop to browse meanwhile.
