We were fortunate to spend a night at Blackstone. We were in the Twilight Zone room. Really clean and spacious room. The grounds are very well kept and quiet. Beautiful cool and green courtyard with chairs and tables to eat at and relax. Loved the private soak with the steam room. Will return...

Room Tip: The bed in the Twilght Zone is a murphy bed. I bet there are more comfortable beds. Wasn't bad b...

We loved our three nights in the Twilight Zone room. It was a very good value for the money. This is one of their smaller rooms, and had no hot spring bath in the room, but did come with a hot spring fed shower stall, with a sitting bench. In addition, our 3-night stay entitled us to a complimentary 1-hour private soak in the "big" bath across the courtyard. This is a wonderful private room (reservation needed, and made when you arrive) with a large hot spring pool and waterfall, a hot spring sauna (very toasty!) and a regular shower for rinsing (if needed). Our hour here was extra special, and we were sorely tempted to purchase another hour! No need to go anywhere else for baths! There are an additional two private hot spring bath rooms for guests, with slightly smaller baths (and no sauna) that can be used anytime from 9 am to 9 pm with no reservation or fee (on a first-come first-served basis.) None of the baths that we used had any noticeable sulfur odor, such as the one you may experience in Ojo Caliente, for example.

OK, the Twilight Zone room only had a couple of still photos on the wall from the old TV show to let you know what room you were in, but that's fine. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, comfortable queen bed, flat screen TV, complimentary WI-FI, and a coffee maker with fresh coffee. In addition, there is a private patio out back with table and chairs for two. The front door accesses a nice central courtyard that all rooms open onto, with sitting chairs there as well. The room was very clean, and included some dishes and glasses, and large bottles of shampoo and conditioner (also available for purchase.)

The Blackstone is very conveniently located - just a short walk to the two main drags through T or C, so just a walk to restaurants, shops, etc. But it is on a side street, with no noise or traffic to disturb your sleep.

The staff couldn't have been sweeter or more helpful to us, including sending us advance e-mail notices before arrival that gave us complete driving directions and a list of restaurants and amenities in the area. They also gave us a tour of our room, and the grounds, to make sure that we were well accommodated. We will definitely be returning to Blackstone!

Room Tip: Since we had the smallest of the rooms here, we imagine all rooms will be as good or better than our...

The Blackstone is a great place to go to get away from the real world and just disappear for a while! The wetroom is awesome, and the tubs in the rooms are pretty fantastic too. The best part of the whole place is the people that are there! The staff is wonderful--ALL of them! We haven't met anyone here that we don't consider friends! The Babaloo Suite and the Twilight Zone are our favorite rooms.

Room Tip: The Babaloo and the Twilight Zone are our two favorite rooms

We enjoy staying at fun and different hotels and this is one of our favorites for relaxation and uniqueness. It was my husbands 74th birthday and I surprised him with the 2 day stay. We were in the Golden Girls one night and other, As the world Turns room. The Wet room is a must;beds extremely comfortable; great coffee and the manager,Gracia was a delightful hostess. It is quite apparent that she loves her job and getting to know her guests. She and Ryan made us feel so special. The beautiful hotsprings clear water made our old bodies feel young again. Even though we have an 8 hour drive to get there, we will definitely return again.

Room Tip: Golden Girls was very spacious with separate kitchen, livingroom and large outside patio.

Thank you so much for the perfect score! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you'll make a habit of returning. We also appreciate the comments about Gracia, she's the hostess with the mostest and we know how lucky we are to have her on our team!

We have never really been in hot springs. So after a week of skiing in Taos (first time in 10 years or so), we were aching all over and description of 102 degree water sounded good. Right off the main drag in TorC, the lodge is small, friendly and fun. You park right outside your room which can be entered either from the small back yard or the front door facing the courtyard. Our room was clean and functional, not too large but with a good size kitchen/bathroom combo. Best of all there was the strong hot spring shower that poured enormous volume of hot water from a wide spout. Boy did that feel good!

But then, we went to the wet room which is a private bath with a deep sit-down pool and a walk-in geothermal steam room. When you check in, you reserve it for one hour (at a cost of extra $20). It was definitely worth it and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Afterwards we felt cleansed and refreshed. Needless to say but we slept very very soundly. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: We were in the "Twilight Zone" room which is at the inner end of the building. Street does...

We've stayed here before, and love the rooms with the bath. The twilight room was all that was available, so were initially disappointed. However, it was delightful. The kitchen/bathroom combo was unique and fun. The waterfall was silky smooth - quite the experience. It heated up, after a minute or two, to almost intolerably hot, so don't linger. The bed was comfortable, and room clean and funky - as are all rooms - and the staff quite pleasant.

My husband and I set up a 1 hour reservation to use the 'Wet Room'. We are from out of town and it takes us about 2 hours to get there. We had 2 deaths in the family and could not go so we called to cancel. They said they would not refund money. I rescheduled 2 other times but not able to make it because of the family issues with the funerals, etc. Finally, I asked again for a refund by e-mail and pointed out to them that their non-refund policy only applies to lodging. After more and more difficult e-mails (over the course of a month) from Blackstone, they finally sent me this e-mail....You have been refunded for $26.97. Since you do not agree with our policies, which are necessary for the operation of our business, we ask that you do not return to Blackstone Hotsprings. We wish you and your family well. Thank you Ralph Stuart, owner Blackstone Hotsprings.

We had never been there and we certainly won't now. I have never been banned from a place I have never been. If you do choose to do business with this establishment, make absolutely sure you read ALL of their policies...yes, even the fine print. They do not operate like a normal business.
