“It's all about the tub in the room!”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

We stayed here for the first time in the waterfall room. The tub was the best part of the room. The room was funky and could use some updating but overall the experience was great. Would definitely stay again. Got to see the palms room before we left and would definitely stay there next time. Bigger, more updated rooms and bigger tub!!!

What an awesome getaway! So romantic and peaceful. Everyone should try it sometime! The room was so cute and comfortable and the tub in the room was so nice to have right there. The town is so nice to walk around and the food was a pleasant surprise. Tasty and a nice selection.

We stayed as part of my wife's birthday present. She has Lupus and the hot mineral bath was wonderful and therapeutic. We stayed in the morning glory room, and we loved the fact that the tub was right in our room. We soaked 3 times during our short stay. The bed was also very comfortable. We had restful and a relaxing stay, just what we were looking for. A cozy little stay with many beneficial nuances! Thank you for the hospitality.

Not only will the friendliness of the people in this town win you over, but the laid back atmosphere and the artsy, hippy-style of the whole town will put you at ease.
The town itself seems a bit run down and tired at first glance, but don't let that fool you, there's so much more than what you first see. The Fire Water lodge has a very laid back atmosphere and a somewhat different way of checking in to your room so make sure your reservations are right and bring a copy if you can. The room we stayed in-the sunflower casita-sits just across the street from the main lodge & was wonderful. We had a group of 4 plus dog, and had plenty of room to spread out & be comfortable. The mineral springs bath was literally right outside our door, and privacy was at a premium.
I totally suggest the Italian diner behind the lodge for dinner. A gem of a place and totally unexpected in this town. Dinner starts at 5pm, and the chef is a genius. All of our plates were scrumptious & I can't get the wonderful taste of his marinated olives out of my mind. For breakfast, the lodge gives you free vouchers for the Happy Belly Deli which is located right next door. Take advantage of this place. It's small, but has great coffee, wonderful food & perfect seating outside to enjoy the morning.
Can't wait for a return trip to this place!

We stayed at your lovely lodge in march. The room was quaint and the tub was great (we stayed in the cactus room), but I was disappointed in the service I received. I was pestered by the staff multiple times to check out before 10am, and checkout time was noon. I felt unwelcome and was treated like I was staying in a $25 room. When I spend $100+ for a room, I expect to be treated with kindness. Especially in a spa setting, where relaxation is the draw for staying.

My husband and I had a really enjoyable experience this past week at the Fire Water Lodge in T or C, NM. The hotel was very quaint, comfortbale and southwestern. Our room was incredible (the Water Fall room). We managed to soak in our tub three times, and we definitely had a hard time packing up and leaving. We made use of our breakfast voucher to the Happy Belly Deli next door. This place was also incredible! Great service and awesome food, in a small town, local deli feel.

We are already planning our next trip back.

Room Tip: We really liked our "Water Fall Room"

This was our third stay at the Firewater; each time in a different room. We love the laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. The best part of course is the hot springs tub in the room. This is the ultimate in healing waters and each tub has been modernized. The accommodations are always very clean. You have to understand that the motel is very old but that is part of the charm. A coupon for the Belly Deli arrives every morning and it is an awesome place to have breakfast.
