“This little museum is a gem!”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

Husband and I went to this museum and enjoyed it. There is alot of different displays to look at. The staff provided alot of useful information about the displays and the city of Truth or Consequences. The gift shop is small but we found a great magent for our collection.

“Very Interesting Museum and Loved the Attentive Staff”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

My daughter and I visited this museum on the way to Santa Fe. It was worth the stop. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The gift shop wasn't a rip off either. There was alot of local history preserved for the visitors and we found it very enlightening.

“Nice little museum”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Other towns may encourage their inhabitants to throw things away, but here they keep all of their history, and in a nice way, too. Interesting little museum, with a very enthusiastic lady. You get to know all about T or C, and easily spend an hour there. The giftshop is full of books, fun cards and other nice stuff.

“Interesting old west and local families”
Reviewed June 14, 2012

This is a very homey museum. It is not a sterile Smithsonian type place. $5 entrance fee.

There are a number of personal effects from past influential families (bankers, ranchers, etc.) Labels are typewritten, cut out, and taped to some photos.

I found it fascinating to see and read about life and geographical changes in the wild west, moreso than the families from the "civilized" mid-1900s. I guess that's because i'm a fan of the old western movies. I spent a few hours investigating everything in the museum despite it's small size.
