“Third visit and it was great!”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Such a peaceful place for rest, relaxation and soaking in the mineral waters. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast always a treat - real china plates and silverware plus home made rolls, muffins and scones plus much more. Super great massage therapists too. Only thing that could make this place better would be an in house restaurant offering small lunch and dinner so we wouldn't have to leave! However there are some good restaurants close to the hotel. In good weather the patio is a nice place to sit and eat breakfast. Plan to go back again real soon.

They say the fourth time is a charm. Thank you for your previous three stays and may I say how glad we are to continue serving you. The geothermal water is always running and we even finished drilling a new well. I too look forward to the day we are able to serve breakfast lunch and dinner to all our guest until that time its free breakfast only. See you on your return trip and thanks again for the kind reviews.

We went to relax and getaway from our stressful professions. Sierra Grande Lodge was the perfect location for this to happen. It was very quiet and even though they were booked all weekend long, you hardly saw any of the other guests. The staff made you feel right at home and everyone in town was extremely nice. The staff helped us in scheduling all our soaks, massages and facials as it was the first time we had been there. And last but definitely not least, the breakfast was delicious and healthy!!! Everything was perfect, will definitely be back very soon!!!

The room was great, clean and very quiet ! A very peaceful place where we would stay again. For sure the best rooms in town. If you find the 30 minutes soaks too short (as we first did), you can easily go to a public one (at Riverlodge for instance)

Driving through T or C, my husband and I grew apprehensive about whether there could really be a place as highly rated on Trip Advisor as this lodge appeared to be. T or C looks like a town suffering from hard times, with many dilapidated and boarded-up buildings. But we turned onto McAdoo and ta da! A lovely lodge in a peaceful setting! It gets even better when you go inside. The place was nicely renovated in 2001, and everything is updated and soothing looking while still retaining the charm of the era in which it was built. The staff is top notch - welcoming and accommodating. We had a queen balcony room, which was somewhat small by modern standards, but very charming, furnished with craftsman-style furniture, and functional. The bed was quite comfortable. The balcony is shared by all rooms on that side of the second floor, but the chaises are spaced far enough apart that we felt private when we sat there. Each room comes with a private soak in the mineral springs, which are fed into a two-person hot tub in a lovely private room - very relaxing. Add to that the fact that there are some decent restaurants in town, and you've got a lovely getaway in the middle of the desert! Oh, yes, and the continental breakfast was quite nice - scones, muffins, yogurt, granola, fruit, hard boiled eggs, good coffee, and lovely staff, not to mention a nice veranda on which to enjoy it.

Thank you for taking the time to find our diamond in the rough. You should see this place the 2nd Saturday of each month its “Art Hop” night. Art galleries stay open late and most of the downtown business participate. There are even horse drawn carriage rides around the downtown.
We are very grateful for guest like you who give our town a chance please come back again soon and tell your friends

Sierra Grande Lodge is just perfect. Our room was comfortable and immaculate, with a large soaking tub. Private soaks in the mineral water were easy to schedule and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and healthful. I had an excellent massage. Our trip was greatly enhanced by our stay here, relaxing and refreshing.

My husband and I spent a wonderful relaxing night here. The room was small but beautiful, with a hot springs tub right next to the bed. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was healthy, fresh and delish! We soaked in one of the indoor private tubs after dinner and in the outdoor private tub after breakfast. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Only the rooms on the 1st floor have in room hot springs.

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and took full advantage of our mineral water. The Sierra Grande Lodge was built in 1929 and at that time rooms did not have private bathrooms. When the lodge was remodeled private bathrooms were added which reduced the room size and now all rooms have a large private bathtub. Also the rooms on the South side have access to the balcony patio with a beautiful view of the Rio Grande valley. See you next time and thank you for your business.

I had the best Seafood Puttanesca at Bella Luca I've ever had. It's 2 blocks from the lodge. All staff at Sierra Grand Lodge were great. Breakfast was great with home made breads and granola. Free wifi on the patio and throughout the resort.
