“Sierra Grande is a must stop everytime we travel the area!!”
Reviewed March 21, 2012

I was turned on to Sierra Grande by a friend a few years ago. I have been going back regularly ever since. We travel the area throughout the year and it is always a must stop for us, if even just for one night. I'll even stop by myself if I'm traveling alone. The staff is extremely friendly, and Sazi even babysat our dog one night on a stay last year so we could go to dinner - unbeknownst to us, he was not a good traveler (it was his first road trip and he barked every time we left him alone in a room). She basically sat with him for about two hours - she is a gem!!
The spa itself is beautiful and relaxing, I absolutely love the Madlyn Rose products they use and now buy them on every visit. The continental breakfast is healthy and delicious, although I do wish they would eventually open the restaurant there full-time, but also understand in a small town it can be difficult. We just head over to Bella Luca, which is a great spot to grab a bite. I can't say enough about how much I love Sierra Grande. There are quite a few other hot spring spas in TorC, but we have not ventured to try any of them because we enjoy Sierra Grande so much. All the rooms are nicely appointed and the tubs are excellent. We have stayed in every type of room and have enjoyed them all (Private Casita, Two Room Suite and Regular). I cannot wait to visit again later this Summer!

Room Tip: If you want a lot of privacy, you may not want to select a balcony room upstairs as the balcony is s...

We will be back to enjoy the hotel/spa with more time to partake of massage and other pamperings. We loved the healthy breakfast and wish there had been more fruit choices as well.

When you pull into the parking lot a feeling of tranquilty surrounds you. Then when you walk into the lobby you are greeted by the friendliest host(s) imaginable. This trip we met Sazi. She is a dreamboat!!! We love Margaret and Robin so much that we didn't think anyone could be as sweet as those 2!!! The rooms are impeccably clean and smell so fresh. The hot tubs for the soaks are sparkling and perfectly comfortable and private. The hardest part is departing. But the staff always encourages a future stay. They truly and sincerely care. This something that cannot be faked . . . they are genuine! We always love our stays and cannot wait to return. Thanks so much for everything. Oh yes the massage and therapy crew are top notch as well. My wife just loves Laura who gave her the best massage ever! Thanks Laura!

Room Tip: Call ahead early and ask for room availability. They are the most accomodating hosts I've ever...

T or C often feels like its stuck in the 1970s, with the few businesses left struggling to be relevant. This place blends a kichy pueblo exterior with a warm classy interior supported by friendly staff and quality accommodations. The mineral water tap in our room's tub is a VERY nice touch. Rooms are well appointed with quality furnishings, spa was also nicely set up.

Lovely hot spring soaks - half hour each day of our stay which was a bonus since we arrived weary and a bit sore from a 3 day backpacking trip. Never been to T or C before, but now we want to go back!

From the first warm welcome to the last good-bye, we had a perfect stay. Very friendly, helpful staff; quiet, peaceful room; wonderful breadfast; and fantastic mineral soaks! This was our first stay and we look forward to returning many times!
