Blackstone Hotsprings
More attraction details
Attraction details
Owner description: Blackstone Hotsprings is located in the historic downtown commercial district of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico along the Healing Waters Trail. Our lodging guests enjoy newly remodeled luxury accommodations, with a custom tub for unlimited private soaking in each room. Since the town of Truth or Consequences is named after a TV show, each room at Blackstone Hotsprings takes a TV show (or character) as its theme. In these fast times, the nostalgia of a television show that you grew up with and loved can be therapeutic - transporting you back to a time when lives were somehow simpler. Rooms at Blackstone Hotsprings include: Roy Rogers, Babaloo, The Jetsons, The Twilight Zone, Golden Girls, As The World Turns and our newest room The Adventures of Superman. Each room includes original works of art, studio photos and posters, a combination of classic and retro furnishings, and just a little bit of kitsch! Both lodging guests and walk-in bathers can use our spa - The Wet Room - a tropical paradise, with water features flowing from the hot spring for soaking, steaming, showering and massage. The Blackstone courtyard is the perfect place to sit and cool after your mineral bath. Relax in the sun or in the shade, read a book, or enjoy the landscape. The Spa is open for walk-in bathers and tours from 9am - 9pm each day. We recommend you take a tour during housekeeping hours- 11am-3pm- so you can see a bit more!

Reviewed October 31, 2013

I have been to the Blackstone 5 or 6 times and been very pleased. The tubs are fantastic The bedding is fresh and the beds are very comfortable. I plan on lots more stays. I have stayed in most of the rooms except the Twilight zone and the studio. All very tastefully done.

“Our Favorite Get Away”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

This is a wonderful place to rest and rejuvenate. Perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthday and a weekend get away. The price is right for the luxury of these rooms and the private hot spring baths. The service is always excellent. We have been going to Blackstone for years now and have stayed in every room. We can't even pick a favorite room because they are all that wonderful with individual themes from pre 1986. It is our favorite get away and Love it. Highly recommend it.

“Pleasant little place”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

In this pleasant little place there are about 6-8 room and a bungalow across the street. We stayed in the bungalow which on the outside did not look very good but inside was a nice modern apartment.
Living room, kitchen with a big fridge and a separate bedroom.

In the main hotel was a nice courtyard with flower and plant and a big table where a group can sit around.
In the hotel they had a "wet room" which is a large hot water "tub" way to hot for me but managed 10 minutes in it. In the same room they had a steam room and a shower. It is rented by the hour. It may or may not come with your room reservation.
Found the personel friendly and trying to be of help.

Thanks for staying with us at Blackstone Hotsprings, and for rating us on Trip Advisor!

Wet Room soaks are always purchased separately, at $25 per hour (or $20 per hour if you purchase your Wet Room passes before you arrive).

Rooms on the main property each have private in-room bathing features, and Guest Bungalow lodgers can soak for free in either of our 2 historic baths between 9am and 9pm. So - everyone gets to soak as part of their stay, but the Wet Room is always an add-on cost.

Thought we'd best clarify since you weren't sure. Again, thanks for visiting us and taking time to give us a review. Hope to see you again one day!

“Nice, although pricey”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

The rooms were attractive, with the themes held to to the extent possibe. We had a hot tub (artesian water) in our room. Nice to soak entirely in private without having to go somewhere. The TV was nothing to brag about. The wet room (at additional cost) was very cool also.

“Lovely, relaxing, attention to detail”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

We stayed in the Bungalow across the street, because it was the only vacancy. Since there is not a private tub in the Bungalow, use of one of the two private hot tubs located in the main building (but not the Wet Room) is included in the cost of the room. (The Wet Room is $25/hour and is well worth the cost.). The Bungalow is lovely. Another reviewer mentioned lack of Wi-fi in the Bungalow - we didn't have a problem. The signal may be weaker and you may have to look for it rather than your device finding it automatically. We spent one night there as we were traveling, but I hope to spend more time there next time we visit. The bed, and the bedding, were heavenly. This may seem trivial, but what prompted me to write a review was the coffee. Loose grounds are kept in a jar in the kitchen next to the coffee maker. I don't know what brand is in the jar, but it was 100% arabica, and made a delicious pot of coffee. It's little details like this that make a lovely, relaxing stay an exceptional experience.

Thank you for the "five dot" review!

We are especially pleased you appreciated the coffee. It's Blackstone's very own blend, fine-tuned by co-owner Rob and supplied by a company that roasts and delivers to our door. We're always thrilled when people notice it!

We hope next time you can stay on the main property, where you can enjoy your own mineral water bath (or shower, if you're in the Twlight Zone)...the hot springs go great our coffee! :)
