This is a wonderful place, small, intimate.

There r 2 things i would like to see a difference in their policy.
1) In-force their "whisper" policy.
2) there is a beautiful patio, with a gas fire place...but no food or drinks are allowed, because the cushions might get dirty....there r materials made to repel spills...and Scotch-guard.

A neat little hot springs with great outdoor areas. Didn't use the private tubs but enjoyed the public pools. Not crazy busy, and a very mixed clientele. Tubs are situated looking at the river and mountains and it is quite pretty. They are doing a lot of work on the grounds and it is looking pretty spiffy, however.... Have to get rid f those double-wide trailers the rooms are in. We stayed in an artist room, thank goodness on the end. That way I only had to listen to one room of people thru the paper thin walls. Also a bit of smell, like alcohol cleaner in there. OK, done with the complaining, the staff is great, the grounds nice and the hot tubs wonderful.

Room Tip: Get one on the end away from the road.

This far exceeded by expectations. It is very clean and beautiful. I enjoyed sitting in the springs watching the birds fly overhead. I really enjoyed the blue heron gliding across the water. This is a very unique little place. I am already planning my return. We need a good chef here in town.

This place has an identity crisis. It used to be a Youth Hostel, and now it is aiming more for an upscale resort. It is neither, and that's OK with me. It really is a beautiful property and it is well manicured and the hot springs are lovely. There's a beautiful sauna, a nice couch area to sit by a fire (very spa-ish), and even a place to grill. We were going to stay here for longer, but it was very hard to get a reservation due to their popularity. I think that's great, and I wish them all the success in the world. The main problem is overcrowding, especially since they open their grounds (which are already very small) to day guests. In fact when we came, we were unable to book a private bath. You have to wear a wristband if you are staying at the property, and this creates a little division of sorts. I kept thinking, "Why don't those non wristband people go back to where they came from?" Now, this may speak more to me than the property :-) but it really was unrelaxing crowded at points. That said, late at night and around mealtime we had the property almost to ourselves. I think the owners should consider discontinuing day passes for the public pools, considering how busy they are. This will help the place feel more like a resort and less like a public pool.
We stayed in the rooms right by the baths with the kitchens. There were all the amenities we could possibly need, and the tiled bathroom was very pretty. There were heaters and a large flat screen tv and nice night lights. There were a few details, like the dated stuffed leather couch, the King sized bed that barely fit in the room, really bad photos, and the frig that was ON TOP of the counter (rather than underneath where there was a nonfunctioning bar) that just didn't make sense. This may sound all very picky, but this place was on the high end price wise for T&C, and I thought it was lovely, really but that it just missed a few marks. Next time, I would probably just come for a soak rather than stay here.

Where do I begin? This little gem is hidden right off the 25 right in between El Paso and Albuquerque. My husband and I went to celebrate valentines day and I could not have picked a better relaxing place to be. All the employees were incredibly friendly and helpful, all the other guests staying were friendly as well and also very quiet and respectful. I loved the atmosphere they've created and how calming the experience was. I will be back as soon as I can!

We stayed 1 night with our two dogs. This place is staffed by work campers, who are the happiest employees ever. The room was small but nice and clean. There are options for families as well. We used the community hot tub and also rented a private pool (highly recommend). I was a little disappointed that the dogs were $20 each per night. This is a small town, but there are plenty of restaurants. Breakfast delivery is available from one of the local restaurants. There is a park a block away for dog walking.

We spent the last two nights of our four week escape from Wisconsin winter in an artist room at Riverbend. It was a relaxing end to our vacation before the long drive home. Our small room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom included thick bath towels, toiletries and a shower with good water pressure. A small table and two chairs were outside each room on a raised common deck, nice for enjoying a drink outside. The only negative to the room was the thin walls. Even normal conversation, though muffled, could be heard through them. Overnight, the wall heaters could be heard turning on and off in various rooms. The common areas were attractive and peaceful, with comfortable chairs, a small waterfall, and colored lights at night. The public hot tubs were inviting and never overly crowded. Each had a slightly different temperature, so you could find one at your comfort level. We especially enjoyed sitting in the stone tubs right above the river at night, looking at the river, mountains, moon, and stars. Our two night stay also included a private hot tub session. They were pretty well booked because it was Valentine's Day, but we were able to get a 3:00 session in the coolest tub (which was still plenty hot). This tub had a little waterfall to sit under for a head and shoulder massage. It was situated on a deck with two plastic lounge chairs and three privacy walls. The fourth wall was open to the unpeopled river and mountain, which allowed for bathing au natural with a beautiful view. The staff was friendly and helpful. They brought coffee out to the pools in the morning, and a local restaurant brings breakfast to your room or the pools if you order the night before. We ordered the egg burritos and the yogurt with homemade granola, and enjoyed both. We ate dinner at two Mexican restaurants, Maria's and El Faro. Both had good food, but no alcohol, so we were unable to indulge in a margarita. El Faro was bigger and had a mariachi band for their grand opening when we were there, which was fun. Since the weather was beautiful (sunny and high 70's) and we had our tennis racquets with us, we looked for tennis courts in town and found four very nice ones, but they were locked. We checked in the adjacent Municipal Court building and were sent a few blocks away to city hall in search of a key. There we were told that all 3 keys had been checked out. So, although no one was using any of the courts, we couldn't play. Seems like a very odd system! We then stopped in the Visitor Center, where we were given a map of a nice little hike, so we hiked instead. Riverbend itself was just as lovely as advertised and I wouldn't hesitate to go back if I was in the area.
