Riverbend Hot Springs
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed February 9, 2013

While visiting my mother in "T or C" my family never misses a chance to soak in the hot spring pools at Riverbend. The pools are clean, and you have several selections to choose from. The surroundings are constantly being upgraded, and I love how the decorating style reflects this area of the Southwest with an emphasis on the artwork of local artisans. On this visit my son and I stayed in one of the "Courtyard" rooms, and enjoyed the cleanliness, and attention to detail that the rooms provided. The staff is great!! They always appear to be enjoying their job, and are enthusiastic resources for this area of the country. My favorite part though, is the view you have of the Rio Grande and foothills behind it while soaking. It's too good to miss!!

Back again for an annual visit, lovely as always. The owners continue to work hard to improve the experience; new seating area with fire pit, new rooms, new landscaping. It can't be beat for value, charm, and friendliness. An hour in one of the private tubs right on the river is a bargain, and the experience can't be beat.

We had a lovely courtyard room which had been totally and tastefully renovated. Having the kitchenette w/sofa was great after relaxing in the hot pools. We rented one of the private pools for a sunset soak (even tho' looking east), and enjoyed it very much. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the locale quiet and relaxing in the heart of T or C. We live only 100 miles from here, but it is definitely a place we intend to return to and to recommend highly to others.

Room Tip: The extra money for a courtyard room is well worth it.

Recommended by our son and met our expectations. Although room was small and first impressions were sketchy we were met by great staff who took us to see both room and hot spring pools before even trying to get us to stay. Quiet clientele;great tubs;small town vibe.
Staff suggested"Bella Luca" restaurant. Excellent Italian, well priced

My husband just got back from Afghanistan and he and I came for a one-night getaway - we loved this place. We stayed in a Courtyard Suite, and we were surprised to see that it had a full kitchen. Next time we will bring stuff to cook. The entire property, as well as our room, was very clean. The employees all seemed to take pride in working there. A man named Eric talked to me several times on the phone and always gave me lots of information and took time to patiently explain everything to me. My husband and I thought it would have been cool if they offered massage there, it would be a perfect sort of place to offer massage. But everything was perfect and we can't wait to come back again.

Room Tip: Call well in advance of your stay to get a Courtyard Suite - they have a king bed and full kitchen a...

Very good trip, relaxing, all our needs were met, staff is friendly and helpful. We had a great time in a relaxed atmosphere. Nice to be able to walk everywhere. This is our third time to go to Riverbend and each time it is wonderful.

The new Artist rooms are well designed, and do not give the impression of being small. The other room advantage is the table and chairs outside of each unit. Since the springs are located where even winter daytime temps are mild, making use of this outside area is a plus. No noise problem with those in the unit adjacent to ours. Although we always take the reasonable precaution of traveling with ear plugs.

Quite a number of improvements have been done to the location. Making a noticeable improvement.
