The staff are great, the hotel is clean and well maintained. Sure, it's not on the plaza, but it is only a five minute drive. You don't have to deal with congestion getting in and out, parking is easy. Save yourself some money and headaches and make a reservation.

The hotel was clean and up to par with other Hamptons I have stayed in. The room smelled very fresh. The air conditioner was working pretty hard to keep the room cool, but my room faced the setting sun and it was right at the hottest time when I arrived. Otherwise it did a fine job. Sheet were very nice but the bed was pretty firm for my taste. The breakfast was good and as expected. I appreciated the hot portion. I am gluten free and would have liked to have had some reference material in order to determine if the eggs were safe. I've stayed in other hotels in Taos and this one is pretty nice.

Had to wait for check in (6/6/14 thru 6/9/14) over and hour after long day of travel and made reservation several weeks before were arrived. Room is in need of repair. Carpet frayed at bathroom floor, tiles missing at baseboard and mold in shower with an order.
Sunday breakfast was a disaster. So much food on the floor We were afraid of slipping. Tables were all dirty and we needed to clean one before eating; all while the girl in charge of the kitchen area was visiting with the girl working the desk. Smoking staff stood right outside the door and the smoke filtered into the lobby. Going to find a different hotel chain in the future!

Room Tip: Inspect room before you decide to stay at the Hampton!

.Continental breakfast was just adequate. To far out of town, not easy to get into town are the airport. They had a fitness center, and a pool. We had about 54 people that came in from Denver and other areas around colorado and took a rafting trip.

We spent 5 nights in this well located Inn. As previous reviews have suggested - it was very clean and the staff was excellent - especially the front desk. However, as has been suggested - the facility itself was "tired." Would we return - YES - especially since a remodel seems scheduled for this fall.

My wife and I were part of a group of 54 guests. Our group rate was $109 per night, very good for a hotel of recent vintage, thoroughly modern, well staffed. It was a few miles south of the center of Taos, so a vehicle is necessary. Rooms were modern, well furnished, beds comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast eating area is just off the lobby, so part of the main center of activity. Very comfortably furnished, with a long high table and chairs for about 12 persons, and many 2 and 4 seat tables and even limited seating on an overstuffed long bench. There is an indoor pool, which we did not use, and a fitness center, which furnishes the basics. We used the dining area both Friday and Saturday nights for our group Happy Hour with the staff's blessing. The free breakfast was standard fare, but more than adequate.

Room Tip: I would say all of the rooms were far enough removed from highway noise.

I've stayed in quite a few low-grade places through the years. This place was triple to cost of your average motel. Faucet handle fell off sink. Mattress was very lumpy. Mattress kept sliding off bed (never had that happen before). Moved me to another room with toilet that kept plugging-up....they gave me a plunger to unstop it. Meatless Sunday. Didn't receive wake-up call...missed group checking-out and traveling 1500 miles without me. Gas cap stolen off my vehicle.
