Had a wonderful time at Hacienda del Sol. The grounds were beautiful, our room was comfortable and the innkeepers were top notch. Thank you! We so enjoyed the hot tub, the location and the quality. Having never been to Taos the innkeepers were very helpful in choosing activities and dining! Breakfast was great. Cant wait to visit again

Stayed five nights in June 2013. Wonderful place to stay. Delightful setting, fabulous hosts, and delicious breakfasts. You'll feel pampered and cared for in a peaceful setting in this historic hacienda. Many rooms have fireplaces...which in June we didn't need! We stayed in La Sala del Sol because we needed two beds. It was quiet and comfortable.

This inn is delightful, charming and comfortable. The innkeepers, Erika and Mark helped make our weekend with our daughter and son-in-law wonderful. The food is delicious and Erika told us about a hike we would never have found on our own. A dinner at the Love Apple is a must when staying here. We enjoyed the rooms, the view and the location. Thank you!

The B&B is located down a lane just off the main road, once however you come down that lane you are in a haven of peacefulness. Cleverly designed the rooms are located around a couple of garden areas which have absolutely stunning views - the perfect place to sit and read or contemplate. We arrived late on our first night and the inn had an excellent out of hours check-in process.

We stayed in La Vista which was a lovely room decorated in the old Adobe style (looked just like the website pictures). There were patio doors out on to the garden area with our own Adirondack chairs to relax in. There was no TV in the room (which didn't bother us). If you need it TV is available in the main house and the wi-fi reception in the room was fine.

Breakfast was served in the kitchen/dining area which gave an opportunity to mix with other guests. On top of that the food was delicious and all made to order. Our hosts were kind and friendly.

We had a lovely stay in beautiful Taos.

Room Tip: La Vista - ground floor, access straight from the parking area at back, beautiful view at front. Lar...

We're really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We do strive to provide a relaxing and restful Inn and it sounds like you really got some good relaxing in. This time of year, the views are spectacular (they're also stunning during the winter with the snow topped mountains) and the La Vista room, with the doors opening out to the gardens, really does make the most of it.

Thank you again for taking the time to share you experience,

Spent four nights here in June while doing day hikes in the area...nice and quiet, great breakfasts, charming setting and decor. Close enough to the Plaza that we walked to dinner most evenings. Spectacular view of Taos Mountain from the courtyard. Enough variety of room layouts to fit a variety of needs. We were in the Taos Suite.

Thank you for taking the time to post a great review.

This time of year is excellent for hiking an I'm glad you were able to get out and enjoy it. I'm glad to hear that enjoyed our breakfasts, hopefully they kept you nice and full whilst out hiking! It is also nice to hear you made the most of our location and were able to leave the car and walk to dinner most evenings.

Thank you again,

We have been coming to Hacienda Del Sol several times since the 1990's. Seems to get better each visit. Delightful grounds, charming rooms, wonderful breakfasts and very helpful staff. You can't beat having a glass of wine in one of the lawn chairs as the setting sun illuminates Taos Mountain with a rich red glow.

We spent 3 nights there in June. It was exceptionally clean. The food was excellent.
My wife and I stayed in Mabel's Salon, part of the main house (original adobe). I was a big concerned about the noise from the nearby street, and or other guests. We did not hear a sound at night. Adobe walls of 18" tend to dampen everything. We also enjoined the community living room. Finally, the made to order breakfasts were great.

The location was perfect. Close to town, but not in the craziness of the plaza. We were visiting our daughter at SMU-Taos. Her campus was a short drive away.

Don't miss a dinner at the Love Apple restaurant, just at the end of the driveway.

Mark and Erika offered excellent advice about our tourist activities. They were always available, but not in anyway overwhelming. We will certainly visit again. Next time, we will read a bit about Mable Dodge in advance.

One suggestion: Program your GPS to the Love Apple restaurant's address, or closely follow Mark and Erika's directions. Our GPS/Never Lost had difficulty with the B&B's actual address.
