Out of the way but still walking distance from Plaza and short driving distance to everything else. Rooms were perfect and relaxing. Everything was very clean and everyone was very friendly. I would recommend this to any couple looking to get away.

If you aren't careful in driving down La Lomita Rd., you'll miss this fantastic B&B. Our room, Gecko's Garden, was a welcome retreat after driving 3,500 miles to reach our favorite New Mexico town. The room's spaciousness gave us ample accomodation for the luggage and for us to "rattle around." The bed was excellent to rest our bones as the warmth of the kiva fireplace dwindled in the evening. Daily room preparation was excellent. Jake, the B&B hound, was a congenial host and knew that the door to our room was his limit after keeping us company in the relaxing garden. Bathroom ammenities were good. For the several nights that we were there, the electric heating gave welcome warmth in the morning. We did not test how flexible our hosts might be, but a one hour time frame for breakfast and a two hour time frame for arrival may be a bit constraining for some travelers. Other excellent B&B's have been accomodating. The breakfasts are unmatched for their quality and variety of offerings, creative and excelently plated.

We had a lovely stay at this quaint b&b. It's within walking distance of the plaza and eating establishments but yet in a very quiet neighborhood. Breakfast was filling and delish! Jake, the resident pup, made us feel at home and we enjoyed his attention. Our room, Kachina, was cozy and so serene with it's turquoise floor tiles and keva fireplace. Prudy and John had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again!

We spent two nights at Dreamcatchers, after spending several days in Santa Fe. Dreamcatchers was charming, relaxing, and most pleasant from the welcome greeting from Jake (a very friendly pup who is a hypoallergenic designer dog) to each of the morning breakfasts and the friendly guests.
This B&B is designed for adults only and each of the casitas (individual rooms) are cozy and pleasant giving a feeling of a home away from home. The morning breakfasts are scrumptious delights. Although we are in the heart of Mexican fare, John has chosen to serve a more European style meal. He is aware of those with food allergies and tries to accommodate, especially with advance notice.
Taos itself has changed greatly and is a hotbed of interesting events, museums, Indian culture, shopping, and a new lineup of things to do virtually every weekend.
You won't be disappointed with your visit and you'll want to come back time after time!

This is the place my wife and I run to in order to escape the everyday drudgery of life in Vermont. Taos offers great recreational and entertainment alternatives for all ages. And, let's not forget about the fantastic dining opportunities. Dream Catcher is only a short walk from many of these. The rooms are great, but the real draw for us are the AWESOME breakfasts and the wonderful coutyard in the back. After a hard of of hiking, shopping or just touring, the peace of the couryard beckons one to relax with a good book and cold berverage or a nap in the hammock. If you haven't stayed there, GO. John and Prudy are GREAT hosts and always there to help. When we arrrived for our last visti, my respons to Prudy's greeting us was, "it's good to be home." That's how comfortable I feel there.

My best gal pal and I spend two restful days here.

It is a very nice, relaxing and pretty place. The garden area is serene and conducive to just lounging, which was our plan after both being severely busy in our daily lives.

We skipped breakfast the first day, as it is served from 745 to 845 in the morning and we were trying to stay asleep as long as possible. The second day we joined in, but, on balance, though the french toast was tasty, we both decided that another really indulgent sleep-in would have been our preference. There is a nice roomy little fridge big enough for significant snacks.

The value for money of the two room Dreamcatcher Suite just can't be beat. A couple tips, though, for others staying in those rooms: First, the furniture has some sharp corners in tight spaces. We both returned with souvenir bruises, so 'heads up'. And Second, be sure and read the guest info entry on operating the tv BEFORE you turn it on. It is not at all intuitive and we messed it up bad and had to fiddle for part of an evening to get it back, just when we were trying to watch the Dem convention.

All in all, though, a very nice relaxing setting for good friends to be together but still have private sleeping quarters. Very nice innkeepers.

We are so glad you shared your experience with us at Dreamcatcher B&B. That is what B&Bs are all about - doing it YOUR way! So sleeping in is one of the many options you have when staying with us. If you had eaten with us the morning you slept in, it would have been a savory dish, since John alternates sweet and savory meals to add to the variety of breakfast choices. We usually post the next morning's breakfast the day before, so you can decide whether to set your alarm clock. Regarding the tricky TV, we are in the process of replacing several TVs, so that one will be put at the top of the list! Thanks for your feedback.

The Gecko's Garden room at the Dreamcatcher in Taos was our home away from home for six nights. We couldn't have asked for a more quiet, comfortable, and completely charming place to stay. Innkeepers John and Prudy provided a warm welcome, terrific breakfast, and thoughtful recommendations for explorations and restaurants in Taos. Their hospitality, good taste, and care projected throughout the place and our time there. We usually pretty much stick to ourselves, but the other guests proved to be as friendly and interesting as the rest of our experience. Heartfelt thanks to our new firends John and Prudy for a truly memorable time in Taos. Be sure to download and print directions in advance. It's in a lovely residential area near the town center, but street names change a lot in Taos andgetting there the first time might be challenging.
