We just happened upon this place because another place we were going to stay was full but we are glad we ended up here. The room was lovely, with a nice fireplace and tasteful, authentic decorations. The breakfast was good and the building itself is lovely. The inn keepers clearly love what they are doing and it shows. Very gracious and helpful. I recommend this place highly.

We only had one night in Taos and this was definitely the place to spend it!!! We arrived mid afternoon - just in time for afternoon tea and home baking. A very nice touch (not to mention absolutely delicious).

The entire Inn is a wonderful historic building with a fabulous entry/reception area, an ajoining lounge with fireplace, a nice breakfast room and a fabulous outdoor patio. We chose one of the smaller rooms upstairs in the main house and it was more than adequate. The bed was comfortable complete with down duvet and quality linens. The bathroom was small but complete with very nice quality toiletries and towels. It seemed that there was a variety of rooms both in size and amenities - all were unique and tastefully decordated.

Ample parking was provided and because the Inn is only 1 block from the main square we were able to walk every where. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the owners especialy gracious. It was a pleasure to stay in such wonderful company.

Probably the best feature of all was the wonderful breakfast - probably the best breakfast we had our entire trip. The eggs with the special green chili salsa was wonderful as were the muffins and homemade granola.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Inn and will certainly stay again my next trip to Taos.

We stayed here in October of 2010. It is just off the plaza so it was easy to walk out the door and 1/2 block or so to shop and eat dinner. We were very pleased with our selection pretty much sight unseen. We stayed in the Chimayo room which was small but nicely decorated and weather was cool enough to open the window. The view was into a neighboring side yard but since we didn't spend much time in the room, except night, it was no problem. Bathroom is very small and since it is an old place not a big issue for us. Although my husband bumped his head on shelf above toilet :). We went to breakfast the next moring and it was wonderful! The food excellent and plentiful, we shared our table with two German couples and enjoyed ourselves totally. Wish we had gotten in early enough to go to tea bet it was good. Everyone we dealt with was very nice and when I asked for some ice for our cooler I was given a big plastic bag full. We would stay there again when next time in Taos.

My wife and I and friends stayed labor Day weekend 2011. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the breakfasts each morning. The grounds were very pretty and maintained. Overall a great stay for all three couples. We go to Taos to ride motorcycles every Labor Day weekend and will look forward to staying here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We recently spent a few nights at this Historic Inn in the San Tomas room and very much enjoyed our stay. The inn is located just two blocks from the main plaza and within a short walking distance to the shops on Bent Street, so we only needed our car to explore the many shops in neighboring Prado. We found our room to be quite large, comfortable and beautifully decorated with authentic furnishings and the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ample and included a choice of mexican eggs (red or green chile) or french toast in addition to muffins, pastries, fruit, cereal and the usual extras. All in all, we were more than pleased with all aspects of our stay and plan to return to this beautiful inn on our next trip to Taos. Oh, one small complaint. I would like to see the owners do this gorgeous room justice by replacing the chintzy curtains with something more fitting.
