We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Le-An and Charles are great hosts and very accommodating as we had our pet Cockatiel with us.who also enjoyed his stay.

Situated down the end of the road which is very quiet.
Room was very comfortable and nicely decorated with a very comfy bed.
Breakfast is a real treat and delicious, a must to experience. Also a 24 hour cold drinks and cookies available which is wonderful if one needs a cookie fix.
George the peacock is quite entertaining and great to have wandering around.

Would defiantly come back back

I am pleased to report that the American Artists Gallery House Bed & Breakfast represents an outstanding destination for those traveling through Taos. The level of hospitality, the cleanliness, and the absolutely fantastic breakfasts went beyond any and all expectations. The hosts, Charlie and Sue Ann, were knowledgable, considerate, and well attuned to the needs of their guests.

I plan to stay at this Bed & Breakfast every and any time I find myself in Taos, New Mexico

Our second stay - we had been here 13 years ago & made a special point of stopping over a second time. Charles & LeAn were as welcoming & helpful as before & went out of their way to provide information & helpful suggestions. It is a delightful spot, full of American native art, & very photogenic. Breakfast is served around a large table so you get to chat with the other guests. They even got in touch with Juanita at the pueblo who had made our story teller doll & we were able to chat to her - just an example of how Charles & LeAn make that extra effort for their guests. A place that is more than just a place to stop over.

Charles and Le Ann make a nice breakfast and that's about it. I'd NEVER stay here.!!! The room was advertised to have TV and we had to share a tiny TV with another bedroom and not enough place for the 4 of us to sit to watch it. The shower and toilet were so small you could use both at the same time. Every flush and the hot water vanishes. We tried to cancel a night's stay, having stayed two nights, not in season mind you, and they told us they have a firm "Two Week" notice of cancellation. The Taos Pueblo was closed, so we wanted to move on. The owners charged us the full amount to leave a night early. This was absolutely NOT what was described despite having a nice breakfast. Don't stay here! A nice breakfast isn't worth it. I'll buy my breakfast, thank you. I'd rather have a good nights sleep. And did I mention no curtains? The sunlight comes in at 5:30 AM.

I've been staying with Charles & LeAn for over 10 years now, mostly during the Thanksgiving Holiday where Charles puts out a spread for his guests that can't be beat. A group of repeat visitors make this trip annually. I love this place. I've stayed at all times of the year and have stayed in all but three of the rooms. I know the owners Charles & LeAn to be reasonable with reasonable people and know that for most times, reservations do need to be made in advance. Breakfast is superb, and the rooms and grounds are always neat & tidy. George (the peacock) is an institution in and of himself. For those who like a quiet, intimate, friendly, warm environment with an intelligent atmosphere in a culturally and artistically diverse (not to mention beautiful) location, this is the place to be while in Taos.

Located about 1 mile from the downtown plaza area on a dead-end street, the owners and staff go out of their way to make you feel at home; they provided recommendations for restaurants and activities. The room was nice with a wood-burning fireplace; unfortunately, we had trouble keeping it going. The breakfast room was communal seating so you could share your experiences with other guests; the breakfasts were outstanding-quite gourmet- and there was afternoon tea and cookies, cakes, etc.

It seems charming but you can hear the next rooms TV too easily. But the main thing is the temper of the owner, Charles. He will appear very nice and accomodating, yet he easily flies off the handle and starts shouting at the guests and accusing them of various things. very unpleasant, we left.
