“Nice accommodations, friendly helpful hosts”
Reviewed April 27, 2009

Charles & LeAnn provide gourmet food, lovely accommodations and great help deciding what to do and see in Taos. This was one of the most fun visits we had on our two week driving trip around the southwest, especially because we were missing our pets. How nice to meet George the peacock. It was really helpful to have a good internet connection that we could use on our laptop in addition to Internet access in the sitting room. Truly outstanding breakfasts including fresh smoothies in appropriate juice size portions. We had blue corn blueberry pancakes that were light as air - so good! And melt-in-your-mouth stuffed french toast accompanied by beautifully presented fruit.
The rooms are attractively decorated and include fireplaces ready to use! Very cozy and a pleasant way to end the day of sightseeing.

We spent three nights here and would go back in a heartbeat. We got our room, Gallery Chamisa, for a great price. it was off the common area, which wasn't the greatest setup but no biggie. The room was much larger than it appears online. Charles was great. We took advantage of his knowledge of the area, from jogging trails to restaurants to area art. The breakfasts were even better. If only I could have that stuffed French toast again......

We spent one night here at American Artists Gallery B-n-B in Taos and it was a wonderful experience. I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for a great place (and a zillion times better than a motel!).

The cozy little (and I do mean little) cottage was incredibly comfortable, nicely furnished and appointed (BEEEYOUTIFUL quilt!!) and a perfectly romantic hide-away for the two of us.
I know many of the cottages are larger, and that would be fine if you wanted or felt you needed more room, but our "Gingerbread House" (we called it) was PERFECT for two lovebirds.

If we'd had the time, we'd have stayed for a month, it was SO restful!
Breakfast was very nice and the staff accomodated our dietary preferences (vegan) with no problem whatsoever.

  • Liked — The cozy cottage we had was just delightful!!
  • Disliked — Nothing

I enjoyed my stay at this pleasant B&B. My room was comfortable, clean and large. As others have said, the breakfast was great. I spent longer than I should have over breakfast, because of my schedule for the rest of the day, enjoying talking to Charles about Taos and the surrounding area. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He marked up a map to show me all of the best places to stop for various artwork on my "back road" drive to Santa Fe later that day. The B&B is not located close enough to walk to old Taos and is in an uninteresting neighborhood, but the propoerty is nice. A friendly peacock hung around on the patio.

Actually did NOT stay at this inn because..... We read the AAA guide book and selected this location. Arrived about 5 pm and we were required to use phone at the front door to contact management to secure a room. Although there were two other guests, the management said "we are not offering rooms tonight" and hung up. If they do not want to offer rooms, why be in the business.
Would love to broadcast this to AAA where the inn had a color advertisement.

This B&B was very convenient to Taos, reasonable, comfortable, with great hosts and wonderful gourmet breakfasts. The hosts gave us loads of information on nearby attractions, offered us free internet connections, were very helpful in all respects.

We get to Taos a couple of times a year and like to stay in different places each time - for us that's part of the fun of going. This last trip we stayed with Leann and Charles and our stay was exceptional. We booked the Jacuzzi suite and had a soak each night before going to sleep in front of the fire. The fire, by the way, was made with well seasoned Pinon wood and if you haven't experienced the smell of burning Pinon, you're missing out. Pinon is quit long burning and we had more than enough for an evening fire. They even supplied our room with litle packages of fire starter, although we didn't need them as the wood starts quite easily with a piece of newspaper. The bed was comfortable, the place was clean and well maintained, and our hosts were a delight - what more could you ask? I might add that Charles' breakfasts and local information and commentary is top notch and it's hard to imagine how a stay with them would not leave a person wanting to return.

  • Liked — Architecture, decor, hosts
  • Disliked — It's a little hard to find.
